Suggestion for the introduce section
I suggest all topics in "Introduce yourself" forum to be closed and all new opened too.I don't see the point of posts like that:
etc...
Some members have more posts in this forum than the others ...
:good:

Well we have talked about this situation in our member forum before
But i dont want to turn it into a '1 post per topic forum' only, since that would be a bit anti-social (within the 'community' spirit ).
The biggest problem imo are the people (mostly newcomers) who kick/revive old introducing topic and just go beserk.
The best solution would be an auto-lock system, which i already found but hadnt got time to implement it yet.
This would lock a topic when there is not been replied to for an X amount of days.

That would be a nice idea, warren. What would also be nice is if each section had its own different topic expiration time; ie introduction section active topic time would be 1 week while the general and fun sections have it longer, say 1 month before they get locked...

Closing idea isnt that bad, but the problem is that what happends if the introduction is too narrow? Just like "Hey hey! Im mr.X and I play on PS#2! Happy fragging!" ? Should those posts just be removed completely?

yeah that would be great, i've seen glennos spamming on introduce yourself,
he copied his text and posted at every topic back there =S...
not a very personal welcome message I would say.
vote for no.
Why ?
people who are new have a chance to explain a bit to us who they are
witch community/clan they have played.
and aight! i understand if u read a post hey iam jack iam playing ps2 cya soon there.
that issnt a nice introduce yourself.
what the best is what u guys can do is.
Post a Sticky post into the introduce yourself with the rules otherwhise the post will deleted.
think people get more correctly posted their reply or post then it is now.
dont say anything wrong but close the forum section is gonna bit too far.

And thats why some ppl have 800 posts from this kind of topics ...
Tell me what's the point of this:
"Hey, welcome on forums.U finally registered here"
If u think that is not spam then read this
