About groups

Postby LethalBullet » Mon Dec 10, 2007 9:27

i see that only Administrator, moderator groups is (visitors is a group too in some way?)atm...
maybe make something this? :

1. Site Admin
2. Site Mod
3. High Admin
4. Admin
5. Member
6. Candidate

it gives better overview imo :p...
those 2 first only got power and others are just groups.

because atm if i look that im moderator and i never seen a button called "you can modify this foorum" (aka to use mod power)

a mod without mod power...unlogical so plz make better groups :)

thnx

You are a moderator, just for the New PS Members section only. Some wise guy told me that system made no difference :)

And giving all members, admins and even candidates an own status would be too much work and has no real effect in anything.

Possibly U could add high admin and member group things, but candidate and admin... not really.

correct ;)

Some things are standard and/or difficult to change but there will be a few updates pretty soon, in fact i already updated the 'Who's online' -block on the left side of the page but need to check for errors first before i enable it :)

Edit
: above (mod) problem/setup is re-structured now.

It wasnt a lie ;)

The system however doesnt make a difference between the different 'mod rights' and levels :)
In this case, 'starting a topic' was assigned as a mod right.

and i dont see difference between mods and simple visitors

and if i remmember php allows to give persons mod status in specific foorums or in all...well that is imo the "different mod levels"

lol i dont get it at all :D ... so if i want to "start a topic" then im using my mod rights? what if just members want to "post a topic"?

its very confusing : |

aanyway this is going to :offtopic: so maybe someone will lock this up or delete :p

Read Wastl's reply again, i was only talking about that specific section ;)

And no, you are incorrect :P PHP itself is a programming language, the forumsoftware is called phpbb, well actually a conversion for php-nuke; nukebb (blablabla pretty boring ;)). But there is more stuff that can be configured than just "specific forums or in all".
