.tga to jpeg???

hey iv been fiddling with packs and stuff and i was wondering if you can turn a tga into a jpeg to make it easier to work with and smaller?

Will it still work with et or will it make et crash or show blank texture / skin?

if you work with tga paintshop pro it's the solution
et work with jpeg also but i think that software house use tga (best quality)

ok but anyone know how to compress a tga to amke it smaller in kb size?

I use Advanced Batch Converter, drop the TGA file, then File -> Convert -> JPEG btw its not a free program (trial) but i bought it.

I think he wants the ingame-gfx's, which are saved as TGA, to become smaller, so the pk3 files he want creat are not that big.

hardly possible, cause the tga contains some metainfos and stuff, even if u convert it to jpg, compresses that jpg and put it back to tga the picture wont be (much) smaller.

I use GIMP btw
