nq 1.2.3. - experiences with stability and bugs

hey,

1st i would like to introduce myself:
i m unterhose, my 'job' is administrate the root- and gameservers of a german clan, which name i will not post here to avoid "advertising" ;)

at the moment we are running 3 public gameserver with noquarter mod ...
2 of them in the version 1.1.0 (48 and 46 slots in total), and 1 at the version 1.2.0 (32 slots in total).

we are experiencing a lot of (not line related) lag on the 2 gameservers with version 1.1.0, and version 1.2.0 is full of bugs.

when shitstorm published the new version 1.2.3. my first thought was: "great, finally they fixed some bugs and worked on the antilag feature!"

but before i migrate them to version 1.2.3. i wanted to ask how the mod version is working on other servers (after you have 44 slots your server is quite comparable).

is lag still a major issue with nq 123?

is the version more or less bugfree (especially in stability related matters)?

do you think migrating to nq 123 was an improvement?

i would really appreciate if you could give me some feedback!

yes i think so

lags gone imo users lag less than before.. but on a 40 slots server lags still will be.. but ofc less
the view changed a bit (icons/weapons have clear details etc)

but there are for example some bugs which are fixed in v.1.20 (rifle bug exists in 1.2.3, so rifle reload many time.. mostly while laggin)

in my experiance as a LL member i can say the version is much more bugfree like in 1.1.0 nd updating wont be bad in any way

but there is an other version of nq (v1.2.1) which is better than 1.2.0 but different than 1.2.3
this unreleased version is pb compatible.. (1.2.3 is not btw)

so dunno.. imo u could improve one server to version 1.2.3 nd one to 1.2.0

nd i know which servers u mean so i think its a nice idea..
+ limit some heavyweapons in there ^^

lol so that was the reason i lagged less.
I knew there was new NQ version but couldn't figure out why lags were much more gone :D (still lag sometimes because of my own comp)

WIth full server still not perfect lots of players with ping upto 120 but with earlier NQ version ping was up to 200-240 so major improvement in my point of view.

About bugs I don't really know any bugs about NQ only know some bugs in maps but maybe you mean reload bug with rifle nade. dunno.

I'd say change to 1.2.3 espacially for big full servers to improve ping and lags.

well ive no lag at all on all noquarter mods to be honest,

but as people say no lag at alll,
iam programing game servers my own and run my own server also with 1.2.3 but yea like flash say the noquarter version 1.2.3 wont support PB at the moment.


but nothing els to complain about it.

No big lags, new NQ works fine.
Small bugs in awards sometimes (killingsprees etc) but thats not a big problem. Also the shotgun accuracy bug is fixed in this new mod if im right, so there wont be +1000 accuracies anymore :p
Biggest + in this new mod is that there isnt many working hacks on it (atleast not free ones), so there will be much less cheaters than in previous NQ mods.

lol u tried them all? Anyway I was shooting with rifle nade tonight and all the sudden it got stuck on the rifle nade. I couldn't shoot anymore, little bug but you can help it just by changing gun or just reload ;) I just couldn't shoot rifle nade and then 10 shots.
