Wallhack?

Ok, I've been playing for a while now on PS1 under the name Toivoa and Hope.
Now I've been banned suddenly with the comment 'nice wallhack'
I don't hack or cheat. I'd like to see the demo (unfortunately I didn't record myself, but if I would have it I'd upload it) where I supposedly was wallhacking.
I've been playing for a long time now and played mostly etpro in clanwars. I've played on the highest level (EuroCup) and been to 3 ET LANs in which I played on 2 of the occassions. This is not to boost ego or anything, just trying to explain how I got to where I am playingwise today.

In the future I'd like to keep playing on your server since I really enjoy the features NoQuarter offers and the people on your server(PS1) are really nice.

I hope this can we solved, wether it be in my advantage or if you really think I cheat I will have to look for another server.

You are baned by me. We were many to followin you cause serious doubts for wallhack. Few dazy ago me and Damelon followin you in an entire map and conclude that you usin wallhack (Damelon did a demo, will ask him to post) but you suddenly leave befor i ban you. I saw you connected today and i connect to finish what i did n t do last time. From my part, you use wallhack and not welcome in PS1.

That is too bad then, since I honestly don't. But it is ofcourse your server and you decide.

Could you explain in what way you think that I was wallhacking? I mean, what did I do that couldn't be done by sound or prediction from spawntimes.

Our doubts are from the way you move your crosshair to follow and shoot enemies who are hide behind walls etc ... and some other strange moves, sure the sound could be a great help but not in all situation and about prediction, i belive that it could aslo happen but not so often.

That's because it's faster if you have the crosshair already on the height of the head when you walk around a corner to shoot headshots than to turn around a corner with your crosshair and then aim for the head.
Aiming behind an enemy that is going to hide behind a wall is just to make sure you hit him as much as possible before he goes behind the wall.

Ofcourse I could tell you this, but I guess the best way is to watch the demo with the command /r_shownormals 1 on. That way you can see that I'm not actually aiming for the guys when they are behind a wall, just aiming after them.

I'd just like to see the demo then. Let's wait for that.

In the end I could probably go and explain every move I make, but it's still up to you. If you think I wallhack it's no use explaining anymore I guess. Maybe the demo can change your minds after watching it with r_shownormals on.

That is indeed my demo, but I don't see any wallhack in there :s
I jump around the map(cathedral) a bit, wait for the covert to make the jump to open the door. Then I went back to try and boost him, because he didnt make the jump for 3-4 times.
Then the enemy covert comes through the door and I give him 3hs.

Maybe your decision is based on the map before or something, but this map I find nothing strange.

Edit: You guys ever come on Teamspeak? It would be easier and faster to talk on teamspeak, then it is to post in this forum^^

First, i have to say that i thought that the demo would be more longer than that. You can imagine that we did n t decided only based on this short demo :wink:

. Now about the demo, at 17:44 you perfectly follow your disguised covert mate with crosshair even when he s hide by the wall (you also continu to follow him when he jumped on the boxes), so prediction or footsteps sounds? personaly i have my own opinion about.

I indeed follow him and I agree that it seems strange in the demo. But why would I follow my teammates through walls and not the enemy.
I bet that if you would watch another demo there would be similar situations but also situations where I don't know where someone is.
What I'm saying is that this is just a random occassion.

Still, it's your decision however sad the outcome may be for my part.
I'll be on PS2 from time to time I guess. Maybe I'll see you guys there.

I know that some other admins also speced you in the past and i hope they had some demos, will check it out but for the moment the ban stay.

Now i spec u many times after this topic bcoz i really like your game and i never see WH in your game.. i think that if u play in cb and all u have experience.. maybe he's clean bow..

Kripto forget that he play pro etc ..., that s not the question and we r not talkin about how he s skilly or not. I just have doubts about some of his actions and each side try to justify his opinion and defend it. I m only interested if some have some helpful comments about the demo we posted or have to add some other proofs to support me or him and show if i did a mistake or not, opinions based on "i like how u play etc ..." add nothin on problem and help nobody but feel free to create a fan club for him if you want

Well, we again had a discussion about your case in our admin forum (the disuccsion began few weeks ago :wink:

), some have doubts as me but no one can have 100% assurance, and keepin the ban would be against our policy and ethic. To be honest i still have some doubts but will follow the majority and also the wise advice of our admin -|PS|-lisa who did some research about you and your pro player profile, and on who i have a total trust . Sorry if it caused you some troubles but i just have to do my job and at least it was a chance to know more about you witch is a great help to avoid future problems and have to add that i also appreciate the way you discussed in friendly and adult way in this topic.

The ban will be lifted tomorrow and your welcome in PS1.

Sorry for making this totally useless post, but I must say it has been a joy reading through all of these comments.

I haven't said anything about your case Hope nor in the memberforum nor here before now. I would just like to thank you for your patience and the adult way you took this ban from us. Most people would just begin to whine and cry about being banned innocent... We're all humans, we all do mistakes. But from our mistakes we must also learn and not repeat those mistakes.

Therefore I hope this can be a First class example on how to handle an unban request and how to create an unban request. In a friendly and nice manor you created this topic, and we discussed and showed you our doubts about you. You fought back with just as good explanations for these doubts and I must say Bravo!

Personally I'm glad you got unbanned and am sorry for the troubles our ban must have caused you. You're so welcome on our server and you must visit PS 5 some day. Just as nice atmosphere there and I promise you I won't ban you

First off, thank you for taking the time to discuss this matter in an open way in your admin team. Ofcourse I am glad that your decision turned out to be in my favour

It's a good thing to be on alert for cheaters because there are a lot of cheaters in ET as seen on the MBI of pbbans.com (over 40.000 players), so I see that you have reason enough to doubt any player.

Nothing will come of being immature and unfriendly if you want to discuss something.
Thank you again for your discussing my case =) I will be seeing you on the server again soon

Ammz: I'll be on PS5 sometimes to play a bit, but mostly on PS1, since I only have the motivation to get loads of xp on one server
