Anybody out there who actually got paid for things he has made concerning arts?

I lately won my first contest from 99designs, made more than i ever would in estonia.

Most likely I will continue cooperation with client with other projects which I get paid for aswell.

I do some stuff for Team Blackpoint aswell. In return they provide me with my own personal serv + I can use their teamspeak.

If everything goes alright, I will get a partner who is experienced in business and marketing in general. He searched for deals and takes his cut.

When I will win few more logos, then I will prolly invest into personal portfolio site (got coder n shit already)

So answer is, yes. Its possible to make money with designing for everybody but it takes alot time at first. I started designing ca 1,5y ago but I started doing logos seriously at last spring.

i have also got money from graphics :>

50euro from sig competition
total about 100$ from logos
few banners/ads dont remember how much i earned :>

it isn't always about winning, if you do good logo but it doesnt win it doesnt mean it is bad...so if you have good logos you can include those too

(but i would prefer to ask from 1-3 pro designer what they think of your logo before adding to portfolio

)

Ofc it isnt, but in the other hand, probably one isnt enough good when one hasnt sold any designs. Atleast thats how I consider things for myself.

Well if you want to interview artist and you want to find it here, I suggest deep. Stuff he does is simply amazing (check his deviant). Dunno if he makes money with that, but his the first one who comes to my mind with word "artist".

I drew some manga for a seller comics..

Lately I started creating designs for future tattoos on request .. I made some koi carp, phoenixes, etc.

I have also won international awards for painting fantasy miniatures ( 36 mm )
I paint a bit of everything but mostly I work with the elves
