Fata Morgana

Postby toivoa » Wed Jun 02, 2010 21:02

Whenever this map is on I can't connect. It keeps giving me the error:

"Couldn't load maps/Fata_Morgana.bsp

The following packs are missing:
etmain/Fata_Morgana.pk3 (local file exists with wrong checksum)"

Now normally this would mean I downloaded the wrong version of the map, but after trying out three different downloaded versions of this map (PS download directory, wolfmap.de, arni's ftp) I think I should have the right version :/

Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Well, maybe your etmain folder is too full.. Try to delete some useless files from it, and retry.

Go to et folder -> etmain and find fata_morgana.pk3 delete it then download again. Don't forget to put this file to etmain folder

try here :

http://www.prime-squadron.com/final/ind ... dir=etmain

search there the map, download it, and put the file in etmain folder.

try what goku mentioned,

It doesn't help always if you delete that file and download it manually or again automatically from server. I had same problem with tc_base once. And also the problem can't be full etmain folder I had almost empty and still had the problem.

I don't know exact solution for this problem but hope so you find it out.

The map on the server differed in size compared to the one in the download folder, resulting in a 'wrong checksum'.

The issue has been fixed now :)

Yes, the same problem occurred with tc base some time ago and has been fixed already.

That was the issue and they fixed it. Meaning that you can just download the file from the PS download directory and it works :)
