Fun war

Hi,

I am Pilgrim from the |X| - multigaming community (not an admin or anything just a regular). We were trying ot organise a fun war against another community, we were thinking about the standard 6 maps, at least 16 v 16 (the more the merrier ofc)
I hope you guys are interested, if you are let me know by posting here.

Servers are ofcourse no problem. If you guys are willing it is indeed best to have one contact person on your side with whom i can work out the details (rules, server, number of players, format and eventually time ofc)

maybe you can give us some more information about how multigaming community itself sees this plan and if you got any experiences in organising funwars, cause its a hell of a job to plan.

It indeed is a lot of work to plan. It won't be anything happening in the short term

First of the organisors from both sides set down the rules of the war (sk, sc, heavy weapons etc.) the maps, which server to hold it on and the number of people that will be playing, speccing etc.
Then the organisors take it back to their communities, get a list of players and prefered days (days in the week that is) on which to hold the war. the organisors together agree on 2 or 3 dates and then post them in their communities, and let the war begin.

I have some experience in planning them. The hardest part is getting all the players attending the war. Some people say they will attend it for sure and at wartime they are nowhere to be found.
We have had wars where they did not have enough players on the reserve list and end of the day, they were with 8 of them and we were with 20. And people getting there on time, some people just show up an hour later etc.

For the x multigaming community it's jsut a way to have some fun and hopefully getting people still interested in ET by organising these kinda events.

one thing i dont understand, you just a regular player there and you gonna arrange it? does multigaming support you, or is it just a plan or your own ?

found you on SL, but only see that you play on VOC servers... or is that an other pilgrim?

The players numbers is up to how many people both sides can get at least.

Whom can join is up to the community, at X the first 16 to subscribe are the ones playing (reg or members) the rest are on the reserve list.

Am a reg there and i have the full support of X to arrange this. The admin are lazy bastard

(Nah, they are 2 busy with the servers etc. and i have free time on my hands at work, so i arrange these things)+

That is another Pilgrim on splatterladder, i am Pilgrim in black and red. Don't see my name on splatterladder.

16 on 16 could be a bit messy on some standard maps. i rather would like some sexy 6on6 with brain, gameeye and skill of c, could give it a try anyway, still in discussion @ AF, news gonna follow in a few days.

ye 16v16 is bit big, 10v10 is more reasonable imo. and there r at least 100 regs/membs at here, so only bout 10% from the community can play? i think there should be more teams from one community f.e. server teams: ps1, ps2, ps3, nexus1, nexus3 etc.

, first , as you can see, for the moment the proposal is more for a tag vs tag war than a fun war between players of each community. second , we still have no real reaction of their admins, infos about the mod, servers, settings etc ... so it s a bit early to be enjoyed :wink:

Even tho this post is old, I will still throw my 2 cents in.

Prime-Squadron would get it's ass kicked versus X multigamingfags. Generally because most of the players who play on PS servers are really really bad (hihi). And N3 servers are all etpro and PS servers, the active ones, are nquarter(mainstreamin' yo). So you can pretty much see the difference already..
And don't get me wrong; I'm not saying that all of you are bad...
