If your pc gives a sound then its probably hardware that is failing,
if its a software problem your computer won't give a sound (bleep);

- memory
- processor
- etc.

Check the manual of your motherboard to see what sound means what.
If you dont have the manual check what kind of motherboard you have and
put the name in google

I would reccomend you do make a Format C ( Uninstall your windows and it also delets all the files and programs) When you have done that then Reinstall you Windows and it should work. I had the same problem few days ago

Hi Dead !

have you try safe mode ?
have you install new hardware recently ?
have you a good friend who could lend you his graphic card for testing ?^^
you can test your memory by using this software... for more tips, give us more info !^^

If it opens and show the load screen and then goes beep...

Then i know what it is i think :p :D

I had this error before, so me and my dad opened the computer and stick the wires in. Because our problem was that one cable was loose. So open it try to stick the cables good in and then test it... :) We had to do it several times before it worked...

PS: Remember to turn the power cable off... Or you will be dead.

do you know what is a "knoppix" ?^^
if yes, this can help you trying to read win error messages, but for me your system is dead (it's windows, it was already dead at the time you install it )

i also have a solution, but only work if your kernell32.dll is dead... ready ? v32 !

1- go on the recovery console (if you don't have installed, you can boot on your xp cdrom and choose 'repair' by pressing R at first choice)
2- when you have the prompt, type cd system32 and valid with enter
3- type ren kernel32.dll kernel32.old (valid with enter...)
4- type map (valid...^^)
5- type expand drive\i386\kernel32.dl_ where drive is the drive letter of cd-rom (d:\i386\kernel32.dl_ or something like that). you will see something like that : Kernel32.dll 1 file(s) expanded.
6- type exit, your computer will reboot... hope it'll work for you !

1. If you know what a bios is(otherwise check the manual) enter it, and check cpu temp after letting it run a couple of minutes.

If your temperature is 60+ your cpu cooler is prolly broken, you'll need to replace that then.

If the temperature is ok try to run a linux live cd, like this one.
If that one boots normally and works ok, you'll need to fix or reinstall windows.

Otherwise try running memtest86 and stresscpu to see if you get any errors, when your ram is broken replace it, same for cpu..
If nothing is wrong you could check your hard drive for corruption/the rest with salvation hdd scan and repair, if you can't repair get a new one. =)
