Basically true, but NQ is just a mod that can be run on both original ET and ET Legacy.

Anyways as far as I know the servers are hosted with ET 2.60b dedicated server, but I think ET Legacy clients should be compatible with it.

That is the purpose of this project!
So if you are planning on trying ET:L client you should be fine.

OK I will try to connect, it's just that I read that ET: Legacy is not compatible with PunkBuster enabled servers.
Thats maybe a problem :).

Punk Buster shouldn't be a problem on our servers, and it might cause trouble even for those using the 2.60b.

Playing on PS#7 might cause weird behavior with ET:L, as ETJump is not supported or tested by ET:L developers according to their supported mod list. But maybe Sidor & Ogr can tell more about this if they have tried it out.

I'm not really familiar with running ET on Linux, but at least on Windows you need to set
Code: Select all
r_primitives 2
on AMD cards as without that setting the fps will drop by like 80%. The other option might be using 2 years old drivers but that might not be the best option either.

On our PS#7 ET:L works fine I didn't noticed any bugs.
Dunno how ET:L works on linux might be a problem but you need to check this by yourself :D GL and post the results here Hexch
