Xp gone...

Hi i have a problem First time then i renistall ET a lost my all Xp I ask why gone.. somebody tells me what i must save my PS profile to save my Xp i save my profile renistall new windows then new ET put my profile in PS folder join the game and i have 0 XP why ? whats wrong ?

You must copy a file called "etkey". Its located in your etmain folder.
If you used the default installation directory, you will find it from :
C:\ Program Files: Wolfenstein Enemy Territory: etmain. Since you already re-installed the game without saving the etkey, you cant get your xp back anymore.
But now you know what to do differently next time you re-install ET :)

You just saved your etconfig.cfg and not etkey (in etmain folder) wich contain all infos about your statue in the server (levels, XP etc ...), you can blame the person who gave you an incomplete info . For the level, PM me about in the server and will try to give them back, for the XP i just can t nothing.

Sorries for posting here since the problem is kinda solved, but etconfig has NOTHING to do with your xp or levels. You can change the etconfig or even delete it if you wish, and your xp and levels will be exactly same.
Etkey is the file that makes your guid, deleting/changing it will change your guid also. And when you change guid, your xp and levels will be reseted.
Etconfig is just the cfg file that saves your ingame settings so you dont have to change them evrytime you play.

Etkey makes the guid, and xp and levels are based on your guid. So if you want to save your levels and xp after reinstall, copy the etkey file to some other directory.

You are the one whos giving false info now. I have changed my guid million times, just to reset my levels and xp. Tbh i did that few days ago at your server also, i used to play with name Flannie first (+30 000 xp), then as TeA. I copied my etkey to other directory, and made a new one. And my xp and levels were gone. And i didnt even touch my cfg files.
I still have 'the real' etkey saved, so if i want my xp back, i just put 'the real' etkey back to etmain (like i did yesterday also) and voilá, xp & levels back.
