lag problem

hi.

every 3-4 seconds it freezes like 1 second.
it just happens on nontzac servers. when i connect through tzac, the game runs without any problems.

i reinstalled et, installed latest drivers,...

i got win7 64 bit
graphic: nvidia geforce gt 440

would be nice if anyone could help me

Told calle that in my opinion it's a problem with windows 7, no idea might be smth with firewall or admin restrictions shit ... dunno

I used to have no problems when i was playing on windows XP but since i played on my laptop for 3/4 year now i believe i have this problem aswell though i can't completely remember since i barely play ET lately ^^

but if anyone could help would be great.

Go to your nvidia configuration screen and turn of thread optimalisation for ET... worked for me and some others.

frezes after 3-4 sec i was when i haven't updated PB but PB don't working now so don't know what it will be but i got win 7 x64 and geforce 9500gt and i don't have this frezes

Well I had similar freezes, which were caused by heat. But yours issue sounds like software related. You could still clean the PC though.

i dont have a clue what it does exactly, but it actually helped somehow. atleast i got now the freeze just like every 20 seconds hehe.

just tested it on empty ps1, so dunno how it is on crowded server.

tried out so much things now, dont know how to solve this problem, maybe its smth in nvidia control, but since i got no clue about such things....

maybe sb dont want me to play public anymore:P

me 2, i fixed it with old ati driver

with latest et full of lags with the one of oct. 2010 nothing haha

my pc suxx, need a new one so shh dont say a word

Don't forget that he has no problems playing through tzac. And he said he has lags in intro/menu as well (when not connected). Very weird.

i had the same problem on ps3 got frezes even not connectod in menu but only with enabled PB when i disable PB my problem gone but than i can't connect to PS3 than ninja said is maght a not updated PB i update it and problem gone not frezes anymore in meny and when i was connected. Maybe delete PB folder if U have

Same problem. After reinstall punkbuster, problems were gone (http://etkey.org)
