Suddenly lag!

If im playing at at ps1 everything is going well but then suddenly i got a fiew lags and after about 15 sec got another fiew lags so i want to ask u guys how to get off these lags my computer info: Intel pentium 4 3,00 Ghz Video Card 7600 GT Geforce and more idk

and i got around 40 fps while im fighting..

Hey

What kind of lags do you have?

FPS - drops ? (Your screen is very shocky and ur ping is ok in ur lag-o-meter)(40 fps infight only ? or you mean 40 fps all the time or..?)

or internet related ? (The lag o meter has huge yellow/green mountains)

if you dont know what the lag-o-meter is, you can enable it in ESC- Noquarter - HUD - and then at convenience at the bottem the second, [lag-o-meter] yes/no, when you play you will see it at the right side of your screen.

rate 50000 hunkmegs 128 maxpackets 128 snaps 20
i got fps drops and high ping but for small times mostly but sometimes i got it whole map

I just drop mine, mostly the maximum for high bandwidth.
Get a constant ping ~20 in medium-sized matches.

Remember to make sure that it is only you that experiences the lagg. If like half of the people on the server have lag then it is no problem

What Network card do you have?

Myself i have 2 computers, 1 with USB network adapter (practically 0 lags)
1 with Conceptronic network card, Very fkd up lags. But it can also be my computer itself XD

If it is so "sudden", it could be because you reached your download limit / month and your internet's speed got lowered to something like 64 kb/s.
But try the settings anyway.

You could try to call your internet provider, and ask them if it's their side problem.

ok but my brother just checked all internet things updated my vid card drivers processor drivers so idk wtf is happening but (maybe it is the pb or ps 1 don't got pb on)

you shouyld try all effects like atmospheric etc off...
or google a good cfg (that's what i did) i got 120 average fps and 30 ping average on a normal map though it could be better i guess.
