hunks and stuff ?

i know the use of hunkmegs but the other one in the cfg zonemegs
anyone who can tell the exakt use of it ?

/com_zonemegs 228 is what i use is that to low ?

com_zoneMegs is a cvar used to set the amount of memory to reserve for dedicated server optimizations, like map and texture loading.

For the client side just leave it at the default, there is no benefit to the client to increase this cvar, hunkmegs and soundmegs help, this cvar does not.

ahh ok ! are u sure ? so that means i can lower it to default and increase hunks instead ?
from 512 to 750 or something( will that help ?) the gaming to run smoother ?

com_zonemegs and com_soundmegs are subtracted from your com_hunkmegs, so keep the combined value of the 2 below your total amount of hunkmegs.

As Drag said, the default value of 24 should be enough.

ET won't use more than 192mb of hunkmegs, so setting it at 128/192 is fine (haven't seen a map using more than 128mb). Raising com_soundmegs to 32/48 would be helpful as well, cause of the amount of new sounds in mods like NQ.
