PS5 - Map suggestions
there is a bigger mappool on ps5 running for test since today
after every played map you can vote for the next one.
lets see how this works

+ all standard maps
have seen this system before. It has some negative points:
- people vote for only a couple off maps
- new maps don't have a chance since they are unknown
- less populair maps won't be played
Besides that also good ones:
- no big maps with small amount off players
- populair maps will get played, the majority will like that
quoting deep:
henksmadje please read topic more carefully and other topics too where u reply, then u get the point and dont have to make stupid posts.

Yes, this is true disadvantage.
Smadje wrote:- populair maps will get played, the majority will like that
What is good and what means (equals the fact) that...
Smadje wrote:- people vote for only a couple off maps

...if we only understand less popular as less liked and this way it's good. But if less popular=less known it all comes to 1st quatation and is still a little disadvantage.
ya smad, the disadvantage is true..
but there are settings possible that some other maps have to be played before same map is voteable again.. so there is option to force the one or other map.. i still dont know exactly, still learning on it^^
its testing period

Yes,that would be good, after map is played you cant play it before 6 maps are played after(example).and well NEXT MAP vote should be disabled now becuse it will be only spam since people voted for next map before it started.
And well in my opinion if that is possible idk,but best would be if you could put maps in groups, like example one group would be (golden dunk,ET tower, baserace)that kind of maps, next group would be (venice, goldrush, oasis) good old maps, third (idk ,space maps) if you get my point, then after every map people could vote only from that group of maps, and group would change after every map is played.so basicly you would have rotation of groups and in every group 5 maps, that way you can indirectly control rotation being different and still people can choose what map to play.

Imo quite good maps.
Size about 11-14 mb.
And with nice view. They aren't fps eating.
If you don't like snowfall -> /cg_atmosphericeffects 0

This one shouldn't be possible by using mapvoting.
Ofc it should be possible with Lua..
but with a decend Lua script, you don't even need admins for spawnkilling.. as you can make an anti-spawnkill-lua aswell
- Atleast i saw one in ETPro.
If too much same maps are voted, you could try with mapage 16/17 - if there are 20 maps.
-> 3-4 voteable maps.
Side effect - players think there are only 3 maps in the whole rotation
But yes, this voting system is very good for a growing server.
As big maps usually aren't voted with a small amount of players.
- None would like to play maps like daybreak / temple if there is only a 3o3.
If temple/daybreak would appear, those 3 guys would leave and players wouldn't connect a long time while daybreak is running and the server stays empty.

ya this is option to "force" also some new maps to server.. but then again prob can happen u got the 3o3 situation and only big maps left for example..

Well if you guys don't have a .lua scripter, I'm actually right now learning lua and I think it's possible to have certain maps only available when a set amount of players is connected. But I don't know how long it takes to learn it, so I can't promise anything ^^
