fps drop

FPS drops every 3 seconds and back again increases. And I got through it freezs.that happend after installing win7 (64b), previously I was using xp and there were no similar problems. I Searched in google and some people wrote that PB is bugged or smth, but how to fix it ?

Dear imax,

There are two ways to update your PunkBuster easely:

1.- Go to the root folder where ET has been installed and open the folder "pb". For example: C:/Program Files/Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory/pb You'll see there a file, called "pbweb.exe" Open it and run it. Please have some patience, it can take a while to update your PB.

2.- Visit this http://evenbalance.com/index.php?page=pbsetup.php and download the PBSetup Program. Open the program, browse to "ET.exe" and press, "update."

Try the following settings to reduce your lag:

Code: Select all: cl_maxpackets 100

Code: Select all: /rate 25000

Code: Select all: cl_timenudge 0

Make sure your connection is set at: LAN/CABLE/xDSL in your settings in-game of Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory. You can find them by pressing ESC, Options, Connections.

meybe some hiding/program froozen u ET when u play ... check menadzer zadan > procesy ...

one time my old firewall did that

Post all of your system specs (motherboard, graphics card, processor, etc...), this will help us understand were the problem might be coming from.

when i will come to home i will post system specs. firewall has nothing to do with that i'm 100% sure. I don't have lags, only FPS drops every 3 seconds. i couldn't update PB because there were some errors from website server.

i had the same problem and i'm sure it's not updated PB when U do it fps drops or frezing screen every 3 sec will gone:>

thanks for help.
3 seconds fps drops gone. now fps drop every +/- 20 seconds. But i'm sure its hardware issue x.x
update your mainboard, graphic drivers = updated
firewall=off
1 core for ET= didn't help
meybe some hiding/program froozen u ET when u play= nop
defrag ur disk=doing it now.

I had the same 20sec fps drops too, was a problem with my graphics card settings (also nvidia)
