If I understand correctly. When U set higher resolution your screen is cutted in right or left side? if it is U have to go to your graphic card settings and change refresh rate to minimal (60hz). I had that problem and this solution working for me:D

i have not understead :S

if U hvae cutted screen U have to set lower refresh rate I mean simply example 1024x768 on 60 hz U can set all resolution ubt only on 60hz mode works for me
( i have win 7 ultimate 64 bits on geforce 9500gt)
