Mafia game 27: Subscription
Hello again fellas! It's time for another game of Mafia! For you people who do not know what I am talking about, Mafia game is a text-based game played here on our very own forums, on a dedicated subsection you normally do not have access to. This time however I'm planning to host a little shorter format than usual, that should last a mere week instead of usual month or so. Here's a quick introduction to the rules and roles of this format. Don't worry if the ammount of information seems overwhelming.
Rules:
Players are divided into two (or three) sides: The mafia and the innocents. The innocents are trying to find one of the mafiosos and the mafia is trying their best to not be found. The game is split between two phases, night and day, and it goes something like this:
- Every player is given a role (explained later)
- NIGHT PHASE BEGINS: The mafia will get to know each other so they won't vote on each other (voting also explained later)
- Other players will mix everyone up by switching roles and so on.
- DAY PHASE BEGINS: Now the real fun begins: People will start their debate on who is an innocent and who is the mafia.
- When people think they have found who is who, they will attempt to lynch an enemy player through voting.
- When majority has been reached on one person, his role will be revealed. If it was a mafioso, the Innocents win! If not, the Mafia has fooled those poor souls like true mobsters!
And that's it really. Here are the roles which you might meet in the game. A total of N+3 roles will be used, where N is the ammount of players:
Mafioso: Your average bad guy. There will be more than one of them.
Mafia fan: Not really a mafioso, but he wins if the mafia wins, so he might want to take the bullet for one of the mafiosos.
Seer: Innocent who sees what others cannot. He gets to see two roles that weren't given to people.
Troublemaker: Innocent with love for giving people headache. He will switch two roles among the people.
Robber: Master of identity theft, he can steal someone elses role and give them their own.
Drunk: So drunk he forgot to take a role! He will get a role from the unpicked roles by random.
Insomniac: He just lies in his bed all night long, thinking who he really is. He will get to know if his role has changed after everything else has happened.
Vigilante: Who says only the mafia can have guns? When the day ends his vote will kill the target even if he didnt have the majority.
Innocent: Your average good guy. I hope I do not need to use him.
Mr. X: Who is he and what are his motives? Who knows, but if he dies EVERYONE else loses.
Whole rules can be read here (without the Mafia flavor tho) http://www.terencel.com/docs/ONUW/ONUW_rules.pdf

Re: Mafia game 27: Subscription
I believe we have reached the maximum participants for this game. Yes I kind of forgot to mention we cannot have too many players in this game or it would be just a mess
I also forgot to mention one role, Masons, which doesn't differ from the original version. At the beginning of the game, all Mason players will get to know each other just like the Mafia.
I'll start preparing the game for you and ask Warren to give you guys access to the subsection.

Btw, is it somehow possible to reread that old game? Tried the search funtion and roaming archive forums, didn't find anything. Stupidity or reason?
