I'm a (happy) linux user since 2001 or 2002, the time where it'was really heroic to use this system :)

using linux on dektop (and freebsd on server :D ). but i have dualboot to play all the windows games. Most of them could be ported to linux (transgaming/cedega) but XP is easier to setup ;)

I playing ET at linux. My windows version sucks. only half of the fps :(

Linux for servers (in meaning of gameservers), this is obvious. But you can also play on linux (I play only on linux). I admit, linux has no support with games as good as MS systems, but you can always try cedega or wine/winex (nvidia graphics preferred). I use linux since 1999 and I have everything I need (like a statistical MS user).

Does et or et-ded work on BSD systems? If so, that's great. But if you mean server as sth like network router with some extra features, I prefer Linux PLD/Debian/Gentoo or OpenBSD instead. And offtopic question especially to you, uni0n, as a fan of FreeBSD - does FreeBSD have support of macromedia flash player? (I was using FreeBSD two years ago and there was no support).

I have both XP pro and Ubuntu Gutsy but having an ATI vid card doesn't allow me to play on Ubuntu, I get about 3/4 the FPS I normally get on XP :x
