reinstalling Windows XP
Hi folks, dont know where to post this topic, but here was the best option imo. Okay here's the deal:
My pretty, pretty little pc is totally screwed up atm.. Due to thousands of downloads, spyware, adware, etc, etc, my pc is just slow in general. I've tried almost every. scanned my pc with the latest anti spyware and anti virus programs, i always make sure there are only a few programs running, etc. Stil my pc is still slow.
So i thought, I bought the original Windows XP ones, but lost the cd.. (stupid me). Any chance of me getting Windows Xp on my pc original again, or at least without all the shit that windows keeps asking me to legitify my xp version? Thx for the help...
EDIT: btw, my thoughts are that a simple format C:\ would do the trick and the reinstalling windows... just to be clear
Nooth

Hm if you still have your cd-key then call microsoft in your country and ask if they can send you another CD
If they don't, you can still download the CD (must be the same version as the lost one, so the CD key will be valid) and install with your old cd-key
The last chance is to ask some student to download XP from MSDNA (if the faculties in your country give out msdna accounts) and install that student edition
