Ping problem

Hi everyone guys....I need some help with my ping @ PS servers...a few days ago my ping was consantly 60/65....but in the last 4/5 days i't grown to 110 and more....and I can't play like that...

....i need some help....can anyone of you tell me if its my connection problem or could be something else? and if so...how can I lower my ping? Thx everyone...greetz Oxyg3n.

or are u sure there isn't any spyware at ur computer?

Hey Ninja....nono i'm not downloading porn.....

,,,,,nono no programs running (apart Firefox, but i've always had it and no problems...but anyway i tried even closing it)....and I cleared all spywares....that's why i'm quite worried...

yeh.. i normaly have my ping 100.. but erinho tell me some comands and now i have ping of 30..

open console:/rate 25000

try this..

the are only 2 possibilities for a high ping:

1. bad connection

2. bad settings

to see which one you got, download hlsw and check whats your ping to our servers there ...

if its lower in HLSW than on server, than you have to change your settings

if its the same like on server, than its your connection ...

so, try it and post here what ping you got in hlsw

Ty Landser.....I verified the ping and on hlsw it is 60/65......what do i have to do in this case to lower it?

Try

Code: Select all: seta rate "50000" seta snaps "40" seta cl_maxpackets "100"

and on a pb-enabled server additional

Code: Select all: seta pb_sleep "500"

Ok everything now seems to be ok....I used the codes for being sure but today the ping lowered without them...anyway thx to everyone..i think the topic can now be locked...tha again cya on servers.
