Do you people really want see mortar at PS#1
I think that weapon really sucks
In minas tirith especially... there is tight "tunnels" and when someone shoots to mouth of "tunnel" it's hard to attack, because you die before you are on the other side
So please Sebbel can u ban that weapon

myself dont want to remove it... im more thinking about allow the other heavy weapons...
but if more (on ps1 playing) people complain maybe we can start a poll about it... but for now a 'no' from my side.

P.S.: for me its a nice challenge to find and kill the mortar... ok in minas its not easy to break through to it.. but thats the pity of the map, not of the weapon... ^^

sometimes you lose - sometimes the others win
From my side, the mortar is also the part of the game and must stay. For the moment, panzer and flamer are disabled in PS1, so we won t disabled mortar too cause it would just make soldier class less attracitve. I had a talk with seby and we will have a test periode soon, we will put panzer and flamer enabled again (1 per team) and see how it works, if the test is succesful, this settings change will stay.

Why callin those who use other weapons than MP40 or Thompson or choose another class than medic : nubs ?? Each class have his strong points and all classes and Weapons were and are what make ET so special game imo, and all are necessary to have a complete team, i m and alwayz was for classic ET config with all weapons allowed (with number restriction for sure), can you just imagine ET with only medics around?

I don't mean that all other than mp40 or thompson guys are nub...
I like use rifle too but tk happens... it doesn't matter in wich class you are in, it isn't nice when some one shoot nade to ur back. And if we have mortar, it can cause more teamkills.

mortar have to go away from ps1
i agree with ninja i don't like heavy weapons to especially mortar.
its just that it would be to much of heavy weapons at the same time in the game.
like you have at 1 time a mortar a arty and a bazooka. then you have to agree it ruined the gameplay, because everywhere where you step you get blast away.
(by the way mortar is a weapon where you often get sk or just out of the spawn)

As i see in the previous posts..... HW makes a lot of teamkills........
So does R grenade. But i don't think we should disable it, because all classes need to have a change. Because some people playing that class because of that weapon!
But maby if in the near future if we get more tk/sk. We can make a command for diable and enable HW (include Venom, yes that old NQ weapon what makes big owns) So an (low/high) admin can look after it.
just an idea, if the ppl are going to abuse these (some) nice HW weapons
