Hi guys,
My name is Michael Willemse, I'm 20 year old and I'm from Belgium (partly from the Netherlands
).
My nickname is Castdead, it originates from World of Warcraft when I was playing in the guild Showdown http://showdown.cr0w.net.
I'm currently playing badminton, biking and hanging out a lot with friends.
I got one little dog, Mistral, a 5 year old West Highland White Terrier, aka a lot of speech but ...
My favorite game currently is Enemy Territory, basically since I'm 99% of the time using Linux (fedora or ubuntu), so I'm limited to opengl, especially since I'm playing/working on a lappie.
In regard to music I like Metallica, Seether, Godsmack and (a bit off and some nationalism) Hooverphonic. My personal favorite cd is the double cd of Metallica, backed up by a symphonic orchestra.
My favorite movie is Kubrick's full metal jacket, for cartoon I prefer the simpsons.
My life dream is maybe a bit off, but I would like to make one application which could change the way people use the internet.
I'm playing on a centrino (oldest centrino chipset, 2Ghz) with an ATI X600 64Mb gpu, which does ET fine on linux. It's a business notebook btw.
I started playing ET on release, started a clan with some school friends, bought a dedicated server and played matches on Clanbase Benelux, was actually going quite nice. However I ust admit I was better at COD1 at the time, I was quite some rifler if I may say so, that's why I sometimes dislike the low dmg hitboxes in ET.
Then I went playing a lot of WoW, quited and went linux, and I kinda went back to ET when I decided to attempt to install a game on linux.
My favorite weapon is the sniper, the MP40 and the "poempf" mortar, which I have used to make friends and sometimes enemies on PS1. In short I like playing soldier and cov ops. However sometimes I also like going full objective as engi. In general I dislike playing Medic or Field ops, as I'm not a rambo type player. I prefer using cover, sneak in, like in COD1.
My favorite map is the asteroid CTF, because it's really something different. I also like to play Radar (love the grass) as allied cov, but that's not on PS1.
I'm going back school next year, application development (commercial .NET java), but I'm allready doing ok in C, C++, lua (started with making WoW addons ) and php. I basicly play ET between having new ideas.
