Have you ever noticed that 40 player on PS5 bring this server to his knees?
It isnt made for such a rush...

Have you ever thought about reducing the max. amount of player perhaps to... 30/32 or what ever (dont know common sizes)?
Afaik it already was at a lower value few month ago? Why did you increase it?


I dont think, that only i have problems on full server...

I just saw, that on one server is runnin' PS2, PS4 and PS5.
PS3 got his own ET-Server and PS1 and PS7 is shared on one?

Why would that a bad idea?

U cant connect in, Then Server Would be Always Full And Membs need to start kicking afk specs?...

Would be no problem for me. I also often get redirected to PS2 cause PS5 is full (more then 40ppl).

If playing would be a little bit more lag free?

And afk's well... i know a lot of other servers where you get kicked after few min of inactivity.

Yeah, i have no problems with the amount of players.

But in specific maps, i got huge lags... :cry:

I voted for less players, cause I dont like it laggy and too full, I prefer max. 15vs15 and atleast little teamplay, and as 20vs20 it kinda too much.

Ok, to be honest...
If yours connection is shitty why the others cant play then?
You want to throw away some space for others becouse you dont want to lag? Its selfish, isnt it? :D
Last days at PS#2 is less players, and its also NQ so try to play there if you dont like traffic jam :wink:
Yeah, make it 60 slot server, i like the idea. But who will donate first? Poor Sebbel. :roll:

Well, the server is hosted in nuremberg (Hetzner), which is probably 15min away from my home. I have DSL with 6mbit/s down... so connection isnt such bad. The only thing is, that i use wlan. :roll:

But afaik many other players have also problems while playin on full server.

i had 512 kb internet and never lag it all about config even now with my 10 mb connection without my config i have got ping about 200-300 and aweful lag

daghel have right.. why all other ppl cant play cos u have lag..
i sometimes have lag too.. but im nt cryin.. its normal :)
and ur problem is this suck wlan.. cable connection is cable connection without noise :)
and one more.. problem with lags at server when there is so much ppl is not in how many ppl there.. problem is with this ppl who have ping about 300/400 and more when at server is much of ppl and here i have request to admins who can kick.. warn this ppl to fix this pings and if they still have this horrible ping..- kick they.. ty

there was a time i thought about decrease slots because of lags... but this were at a time when there was more lag as it is now.. i thought and read in forums or anywhere its problem of the mod NQ that there is so much lag.. well.. maybe it is a bit.. but on the other side i was at 40 slot houses playing noquarter with less lagg although they had bigger maps, etadmin, much more crap cmds than me and so on.. well.. dunno.. maybe the quality of our server isnt that good, maybe it gets worse, when ps2 gets more full and better when usage is less.. maybe its because of too much high pingers.. i dunno what to do do make gameplay quality better than it is now.. but i also know it was worse in the past and for me its "ok" right now since i got a very good new hardware at a normal 2000DSL connection... (well on some specific map it always lags, like for example bacerace) ..
only thing annoying last weeks were those mega lags that only go when server restarts we had a few times .. have to ask lands if he can imagine whats the prob there....

I dont wanted to say, that the server is crap. I like it there and usually i can play without lags...
Just wanted to point out, that i got lags everytime with a full server.

Fortunately, PS5 isnt full all the time. :wink:


And sacre is right... players with too high pings, should be warned at least.

normally there is no differnce between a cable-connection and WLAN if u have good hardware and not enormous distances to the router.
I have WLAN too (7 (yes, seven) WLANs in the range of my machine) and a ping to the router takes less then one millisecond.

For me, the distance should be the problem.
Router is in the basement and my pc in the 2. floor.

Ping is also less then 1ms. But have you ever tried more pings?

After approximately 40-50 pings, i got one spike with ~50-70ms.
I dont know if this occurs also with cable - maybe someone could test it...

in ps#5 have really been quite strange lags, i didnt have lags 1 month ago and now i have lags sometimes...
hope you get server fixed sebbel :D

no spike in 100 tests:

ping -c 100 192.168.0.1

--- 192.168.0.1 ping statistics ---
