usually record is on f12. and to stop your record u have to do /stoprecord :) because f12 isnt doing that without bind

You are right, there are always some people who care but
dont know how to record.
And there is told about Demos in Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.)

But anyway...
Easiest way to tell them...
Open console (button below ESC) - half of sceen will be text. :P
Write:
/bind F7 record
/bind F8 stoprecord
And start using those buttons :D

But I will check this prog

If i was ever to make a demo, i'd use Fraps so anyone can view it with Windows Media player or Real player :)

Sadly its just a 30second job...gota find someone with full version to leech off

The problem with Fraps is the size of the final demo, so huge to be shared, some around will need some hours to get 2 or 3 mn demo

I think this topic has to be placed in the ET discussion section?

and the good part about demo's from et is that you can change visions (or thats what i understood of it, with certain commands you can remove walls or something???) and the quality is better than any demo you can record :) and as said: size DOES matter 8)

and whats so hard about remembering these 2 commands??? /record & /stoprecord

but one question, can you name the file ur recording to with the record command?? so it wont be an automaticly generated name but smth like /record <name> or smth??

I use demo script :good:

Demo record Script

//By pressing this key you can toggle a demo ON/OFF
set demostart "autorecord; set demor vstr demostop"
set demostop "stoprecord; set demor vstr demostart"
set demor "vstr demostart"
bind F12 "vstr demor"

its like in old times , u can just turn it on/off with f12
