maccupiccu beta2 is ready for players !
Hi all,
I have finished the beta2 from maccupiccu and i have send it on rtcwfiles.com.
Objectif :
Allies need to steal the two symbols (sun and moon) and secure it on the truck stationed on the allies spawn.
History of the map :
Maccupiccu is based on real photo for constructing house, pyramid, temple. And the anime film Mysterious City Of Gold.
What change on the beta2 :
- Reduced the area left and right from the city for direct gameplay.
- Deleted the Sewers access way.
- Alies spawn transfered in mountain two way for attacking the city, main door from alies spawn and one way for accessing on valley.
- Axis spawn and access simplified.
- Alies spawn door is locked for axis team include covop.
- Axis spawn door are locked for alies team include covop. (include on the beta1)
- Fixed heavy FPS loose on some zone from map.
- Secret way are modified.
Program : SD Radiant 1.4.0
Compiled on : q3map2.17
Build time : 7 month
Compile time : Under 2 minutes
Compile machine : Intel Quad Core Q9550, 4 Go Ram DDR2 800 MHz and 8800 GTX 768 Mb Ram. Win XP Pro SP1a
Specific : You need only hunkmegs 56 for launch the map !
New Textures : Yes
New Models : Yes
Ok and for finishing 6 screenshots from the new version :
First screen global map screenshot.
Second screen alies spawn in mountain.
Third screen is the other side from city.
Fourth screen is the underway axis spawn.
Five screen is other side from the city.
Six screen main door and bridge.

You mean the cartoon The Mysterious Cities of Gold? Thats great I remember watching that show when i was a little kid, with the golden bird like plane
You should incorporate the theme song somewhere, perhaps after the Allies got both objectives
Would be a nice map for PS5, go Seb go!

Great job, map making isn't easy job
I only hope the tunnels won't be too dark.
And that cartoon was great also. when i was a kid it was on Tv between Mutant ninja Turtles and Dragon Ball
I love the theme song.

Yes Daghel is too dark only on the screen on reallity light are good.
Arno the beta 2 is reduced map, and in this have fixed more as possible the fps. ex on me i have aprox 142 fps fast in total map.
On certain zone from map you loose fps this is weil you can seeing the total map this is the reason, and can not really fix this.
I have more structural brush on beta2 and on beta1 is more details brushs, and change on conpilation on vis creating.
If you need to change your fps edit your etconfig.cfg on etmain and in your profile directory. (need wordpad, bloc note etc...)
And shearsh the line to you have maxfps, in normal you have 85 change it and place 130 for example.
In my config i have modified to 130 and have aprox 142 in game.
I have planified one other version in night with more light in the city, and this is probably the last version.
I waiting for one to install the map on server and good fun for all.

Thanx diamon i have modified this to 125 !
For players are not playing on the beta1 i found one server :

I job for the moment on the night version from the beta2, normally this version comming this week.
I add light in the city, and change the sky (same on goldrush map).

Maccupiccu beta 2 is currently in rotation at PS#5, so check it
Map is cool, great job Necromancer.
The only thing i didnt like was the stairs. When i took obj. as non-medical class i always died or loosing 90% of hp while runing down. So maybe add a constructive rope/ledder on the back of moon/sun pyramids.
More tunnels, secret chambers will be nice also, only an sugestion

than it still has a difficulty
and yes good idea to do a ladder ... lucky its still a "beta 2 "

Hi all,
Thanx Daghel for playing the map on ps5, i will check next day.
For ladder construction i will seeing on the beta3 was i can make.
Actually i job on the beta3, for installing escorting truck, i make it and tested and works 100%. Only problem is the construction crate is only invisible (and i have not found why).
Please be patient for the beta3, i have planified heavy change on it.
I post new tread on the beta3 on techzone when is done.
