Stuck once again with Enemy Territory. Always the same...

Postby Siamat » Thu Feb 19, 2009 16:39

I reinstalled Enemy Territory because i wanted to be able to play on the TJ server. I am at 2.60b and i installed NoQuarter first. When i did that i got these files in my NoQuarter map:

noquarter_b1.1.0.pk3
nq_bin_b1.1.0.pk3

noquarter_b1.1.1.pk3
nq_bin_b1.1.1.pk3

noquarter_b1.2.0_fix.pk3
noquarter_b1.2.0.pk3
nq_bin_b1.2.0.pk3

noquarter_v1.2.3.pk3
nq_bin_b1.2.3.pk3

noquarter.cfg

Nothing wrong with that (i hope) but every time i try to load NoQuarter in the ET Main Menu my ET stops and it said that my ET stopped for unknown reason.

My PB is at the latest version and i checked it with the PB setup. Nothing seems to work. Can someone help me out with this?

maybe you need ui_mp_x68 or something? (dunno even what is that :P )

but maybe you miss somepack or some of them is uncorrectly installed. have you just tried to contact some NQ server (type /connect 213.239.219.249:27962 to console) maybe it will load missing/corrupted/whatever packs?

EDIT or just delete/rename your nq folder and connect to server, i think it should load all needed stuff and work

Code: Select all
 Installation of 1.2.3

    * No Quarter b1.2.3 requires a valid 2.60b/d Enemy Territory installation.
    * Download the 1.2.3 full install from the link above.
    * Unpack the No Quarter RAR archive so you have all the files you need.

    * Make a subdirectory in your Enemy Territory installation folder named "noquarter" Version 1.2.3 is completely repacked. Thus requires no previous NQ installations. If there are previous installation of NQ installed remove all "noquarter_" and "nq_bin_" pk3 files and server binaries in your "noquarter" directory.

    * Client-side assets (noquarter_v1.2.3.pk3) and binaries (nq_bin_b1.2.3.pk3) are BOTH REQUIRED for No Quarter to run, place them in your noquarter directory. Depending on the server you're running No Quarter on, you will need to place the appropriate server binary qagame_mp into the "noquarter" directory.
    *  For Windows servers, place qagame_mp_x86.dll in the directory.
    * For Linux servers, place qagame.mp.i386.so in the directory.
    * For Mac servers - bin is not in the pack! Ask in forum about server bin and place qagame_mac in the directory.

installation of 1.2.3
here i get that your map name is wrong you got NoQuarter try to call it noquarter and try to add qagame_mp_x86.dll in the map

The map is called noquarter and i've tried to connect to PS#5 and it said 'Awaiting Gamestate...' and it just stopped my ET with the message that my ET has stopped for unknown reason.

Never mind.... The problem was my game version. My ET wont let me play if i use 2.60b... I patched back up to 2.60d and now everything works fine. Is it possible if PS#7 is available for 2.60d players also? I would like to learn TrickJumping.
