Keep losing my XP

Postby Sjiro » Fri Apr 03, 2009 12:53

Maybe this is a much asked question. But I just don't know the answer. Let me start off where it all started.

Yesterday I was playing Enemy Territory. I decided to take a break and when I wanted to play again, my whole game started to trip. All sorts of errors started to pop up during gameplay and even after gameplay (don't know what errors exactly).

So after I tried to fix it I gave up hope and completely uninstalled Enemy Territory. I downloaded the game all over again and installed it on my computer this morning. I also updated ET and Punkbuster immediately.

So I start Enemy Territory, create a new profile and start playing for like 2 hours or something like that. I get up to 300xp or something like that, but I have to leave. So I disconnect and exit my game.

Now I'm home and I want to play again. I start my ET, connect to PS#1 and to my own surprise, all my XP is gone and I'm back at 0 again with all my skills back at 0 as well.

I've got an ETKey in my etmain folder. I even copied one to my profile folder. So I really dont know why my ET is not saving the XP I gain on the PS-servers (only servers I play on).

Anyone able to help me out here? Should I totally uninstall again and delete everything that even reminds my laptop (Windows XP on it) of ET?

Hope one of you guys can help me out.
Thanks in advance.

Well I think I fixed it. The hard way though. I uninstalled ET, again, and litteraly deleted everything I could find on my computer regarding ET. Then reinstalled it and that did the trick. So I'm off to a fresh start again.

Only had 1 admin level on PS#5 I guess but that's not a complete disaster :).

Thanks for the help though guys. Appreciate it.
