What changes in PS to do?

Less servers.. (half of ps servers is bot server)
i think ps1-5 is good it solve all problems..

ok thx landser to ask us so :

FIRST : We need a solution to remove those terribles lags....i've never see so much lags anywhere else ...oo, ppl are leaving servers each times lags appear and never went back. Its impossible to play that's all.

SECOND : an updated of active or non active members could be good i think.

But the lag problem is the main i think if its gone maybe we all could do a better communauty but for the moment its simply not possible ....i am the only one who think that ?

Yep too many servers it's true (ps9 unplayable with lags)
Need more maps on srevers like ps6 where regular players appear
More high admins with 666 lvl here
Refresh the member liste (i'm the 69 it's cool but i just see 10% of members playing on-line)

Landser, I hope you'll read this and discuss about it with us.

As you already know my name is -|PS|-wenSzhopper. I play most of the time on the PS#1 server and got invited by Daemon and Bor3wicz. During my time in PS I've seen many ups and down. Lately it goes better again (new good site layout (pity daemon left Sad), some servers full, good members etc.). Though, I think we need still some changes to continue that good line that makes the community better. What do we need then ?

Well, first of all I think it would be nice you would communicate with us. I hardly know you and I think that a little bit weird cause you are the founder. I respect the time you put in the servers, but maybe its cool you could listen to us, so we can help. We talk with high admin from PS#1 and PS#2 about the following things:

1. We need to clean out the memberlist cause it very confusing and it caused some problems. I know a PS member is a member forever, but maybe some of them stopped playing ET for ages. If they com back I think a lot old members will know them and will be put on the memberlist again.

2. We have to much PS servers. If you have the server, why dont use it ? Well i tell, it cause lot of problems and gives PS bad name. On those servers are lot cheaters and screwing around. Also dont we know who things about the serverowners. For example NIC. he is serverowner but how can we help PS to get better community if he never is around. He never votes about new members. Dont his server needs new members ? Of give he levels to them without voting. This way that empty servers never grow.

3. Lag problems, maybe you can watch what the problem is cause ps#1 has lot problems with it lately



No offence, it's just to make the community better. I hope you discuss with us about it cause we all agree PS is good, but need to be better arranged if we want to fill those servers in the future. Bit by bit we have to do this. That why I say, less servers and cleaning memberlist to see what we have got. And bit by bit we can grow, if we want. But we need you and NIC. We have to do it with all serverowners, founders, members and even the players on the servers.

1. - fix the lags
I cant imagine that at ps1 & ps2 its only because of pb and arti

2. - shrink down the nmbr of servers
5-6 servers is enough in my opinion, i dont say close those other servers but
remove the prime squadron name of them.

3. - clean out memberlist

that are your problems which i try to fix now but when i fix you problems, i also get problems


1. amount of servers + lags:

PS1 - 5 will stay as long PS lives ( for ever )
PS6 - 9 are from nic (when he leaves us, the servers will probably also leave) so PS6 - 9 will also stay....
i mean some servers of nics root are given away to administrate:
PS6 is given to oma_hans who cares about this server ( will stay )
PS7 is given to me (i can shut down this server, so PS6 + 8 + 9 will be lagfree ...
PS8 is nics server ( will stay )
PS9 is monsters server ( will stay )


PS10 by doom ( will also stay )
PS11 by a12fs they administrate, they care.

ok so i only can shut down PS7 and replace by PS9 and rename PS10 to PS9 ...

so we would have overall 10 server (one of this servers by a12fs, partnerserver). this would reduce lags of PS6 + 8 + 9 ...


i also heard about lags on PS1 they are caused because i needed to cover the costs of the servers. but when bore will pay, then i can shut down two sold servers.

PS2 - 5 are on same root => PS2 lags, the other server would lag too.
but i play daily on PS4 and there is NO lag! => idk why PS2 is lagging ... maybe some configs? maybe you should lower the amount of landmines?




Members:

ok we will organize in adminforum the activate and non activate member stuff.
but i think beeing PS member should be forever (until you get kicked for doing realy bad stuff, but not beeing afk for some weeks / months)
for example: racoon ... he was 2 - 3 months in UK. now he is back and still member
so maybe we can put a "Inactive" behind the name in memberlist?

never saw u on a other server then ps 4 or active on the adminforum, only sometimes when u have to write something or when u want to write something.

but okay. have fun guys. i'm out. no offense but i don't do work for nothing. i can spend my time for other things who gives me a good feedback, but here no way to see for a good change.

Edit: so why u don't talk to us before that the lags are cuz of sharing 2 other servers? that's just bad. we all think, why are these incredible lags and u know it the whole time...

i think when u would communicate with us u already know what to do. we talked here several times about:
-less servers
-refreshing memberlist
-lags

finally when u see, maybe members will leave, u will change something. that's not a good community for me, no offence, but... it sucks on this way.

I think its a good thing that Landser is discussing this (okay it had taken some time).

but Landser what did you had in mind yourself?
Cause if you cant close down servers, cant (instantly) fix the lags, I dont
see much other problems.

Well closing down 2 servers is a good start, but I would not close down
ps5 since there are a lot of regulars but well if you shift it around ps6 can
be the new ps5 (without bots )

i got here realy many problems.

i need the money for servers and i need lagfree servers ...

so i only can increase the costs or lower the slots ...

so i would get for the servers 73€ but the last 6 months i only got 45€ / month from PS servers and around 45€ from sold servers ...(i need to pay 110€ / month)

so when i close some sold servers i get money problems (i even got now some little money problems but when i close server i get money colapse)

so you need to pay some € more or wait until i got bores payment.

but i think the easiest would be closing PS1 + 2 + 3 + 5 and only let run PS4 (i pay) and servers from nics root ... so i can sell some server to got prices ... this would cause less servers => less lag but i got enuf money to pay all ...

but i think you dont want this servers off ...
