Heyhey ppl

You probabely all know aWn from Norway @ PS#1. Some think he's offensive, maby it's true. But today he asked me kindly to !mute him forever, so he cant be offensive against other players and preventing in his opinion a ban. I asked him 1st if he was sure and we started with 3 days. After the 3 days we look if the mute stays or leaves. But on the other hand people must have a brake on themself, so they know what is legal and whats not. (I like to you hear other ppl's opinion about this, so should people know whats the boarder or does a program have 2 do it?) But we can always check it out. So when he's being offensive and he doesnt answer, dont think he's ignoring you, but just !unmute him.

hey unknown,

its nice that u post it here in ps1 forum,
but i think its only concerning us (PS-People) then ask oppions about the server players (regulars)

like i pmed in ps| before u left server.
there is a topic in mf about awn also,

iam writing this coz i think we all want to avoid a long crap discussion and a vote or oppion for a regular player are not based since its something to point to the ps community members /admin not ps1 players

if this guy only did insults, provocations, whines.....my advice, mute him for a longggg time. But if did more than this (sk, sc, tk on purpose)..just ban him and end of this problem :wink:

Courageous? He would be courageous if he accept that he realy has a problem about how to act with people, how to talk in public place and learn how to contole his nerves, a mute wont resolve his probem and he wont learn something from it. Asking for a mute instead of changing his behaviour is just like a weak dude who will try suicide cause he can t face problems :wink:

. Anyway, it s in some way a wise think cause he was realy grating on my nerves and i was waiting for his next bullcrap talk or swearing to get ride of him.

The problem doesnt come from the fact he can/cant speak.
He just has to learn to chill out himself. I dont realy trust the fact that he cant avoid to write something without beeing muted.

i know that it's not the point here,but could an admin check if Burle (another regular player in PS1) is muted?
he never answers when i try to talk to him while playing.(2 weeks long trying ) :lol:

i've seen aWn at it on PS1 servers for a while, hes a good player but i he just cant handle the fact that he loses sometimes, in other words he always wants to win and if his team loses he vents his rage on them.

I would say a !mute for a decent time would be sufficient, all he does is curse, so its not to bad, at least no TK or TB on purpose; and overal he is a pretty good player.

these are just my 50 cents.

Attitude is not seen in chat alone it is wider then that. Players with that bad attitude should not be playing at PS servers.

So if he changes his talks and behaviour he can stay. Otherwise he will be made to leave.

A mute forever is not an option from my side.

I too see the point that most admins make, but I have to disagree with you're statements. I don't believe someone isn't fit to play at your servers only because he can't control his potty mouth

Why make a big fuss about someone who is trying to keep playing on your servers? He realises he can't play without a mute, because then, eventually, he will get banned. And if he can't speak, what's the big problem with him

. I think it's kinda stupid( if I may say) that you refuse to just mute him and end the porblems. I don't know how to sya it in English, but as the topic is made by a Dutch person I think it's ok, but people here tend to 'betuttel'. So if a guy asks for amute, just do it and end this unnecessary fuss

. Btw Bowdown, you call people who commit suicide weak? I think Awn just wants to play the game, and the easiest way to keep playing is asking for a mute. Yes you can change his overall behaviou, but that won't help him behind his pc-screen.

Thats an important point of PS story, to have friendly, smart and fair players wich is really not his case.

I think it's kinda stupid( if I may say) that you refuse to just mute him and end the porblems.

Like we told, muting him wont solve any problems, its kinda stupid ( if may say ) to think that will change his behaviour

I think Awn just wants to play the game, and the easiest way to keep playing is asking for a mute

The easiest way for him to keep playing at PS is just to control himself like the huge majority of all of us.

In real life when you tell nonsense things, the best way to solve it is to asking yourself why you're acting like that.

Maybe he's not friendly, but as long as that doesn't show up in-game, then there won't be a problem. If he expresses his feelings in-game (like teamkilling) then it should be considered a problem. Muting WILL solve a problem, but it's probably true you can't change his behaviour. That's why I suggest you mute him, see if breaks other rules and if he doesn't, problem solved.

Well i think like the rest that he needs to chill and must have it with the fact that you can be killed in ps1

normal

but that you than not have to start yelling and all just think strait and chill. You have outher guys on server that or amezing good that sometimes do like that but don't say it in chat but in thereselfs. Outherwise if everybody would do that you will have a chaos. So best that you can do is talk with him about the problem and say that he just has to chill little bit when he gets killed.
And if he starts to say bad things mute him than for a day or 2 and try to calm him down.

your arguements are right, that with this mute the problem of the personality of the player isnt solved, but aWn didnt ask to be "healed" by us. he asks for a mute, the reasons we can imagine, but that shouldnt count for us.. not our business
we also dont ban ppl for playing too much, if a player on our server is the friendliest of all, but beats his parents to play the whole day, we dont care.. why you want to care for aWn ????

well i care much about people i think and try to understand them. Maybe you guys don't know it but i am monitor for people with a handicap and when you work with these people you will think in the begin like why would i help that guy he doesnt understand what i say, well accualy they do understand but on a outher way and via that way you can understand why they do like that that is the same for awn I shall try to speak to him so that i will understand his problem and will try to fix it

ET is not only fragging. Chat is a big part of the game too.

. He wanted to be muted and it s done, at least it will be more quite for players and also save aWn place in PS1, let s hope that he will learn something from it.

As im reading this "long discussion" I must agree with bowie we all have a different view on this subject, so it wont end.

As I already asked my self the question in my 1st post.

I think I have to answer this question with: People should know it themselfs. So I wont mute him for a long periode. We are grown up people, besides most players are 15+ i guess, so you should be skilled with communication-skills, so you can play nice with your teammates and a machine don't have to control your behaviour. If you act badly, you have to feel the consequences.

Besides I think it's up to the serverowner(s) to decide if he want the mute to be extended. Not to me
