[HOWTO] have a nice life with pb

pb causes many problems but it also helps the admins to do a good job :D

if pb runs on a server and u get kicked, u might get kicked for these reasons:
(posted in ban reason - solution style ; all answers are tried to answer seriosly)



1. hardwarban
- buy a new computer or remove certain stuff of your hardwar (reinstallation of computer is sensless ... your hardwar got banned)

2. indiquate rights
- get full administrator acces on your computer (when u log in your computer and u dont have administrator u will not be able to play :( )

3. hunkalloc (or something like that ... mostly with a number behind)
- after u saw the kick / ban massage from server with this reason , go in console and enter /com_hunkmegs 128 (do only if 512 mb ram+) after that ... /reconnect

the probs above are the big problems ...

here are little probs:

rate is too high / low: /rate 25000
different version: go to pb folder in Enemy territory folder and launch pb.web

there are sooooooooo many probs and i dont want post them all ... so plz post here your probs u got and your solutions against probs ...

btw:

pb detected first cheater :D

it was a pretty noob who reconnect from 18:45 until 20:37 ...

imagine! clicking the whole time reconnect and that nearly 2 hours!

he is a hacker.
he uses a program that reconnects immidiatly after a ban.changes his ip?his smac,his etkey,his everything.
but pb has detected his system and he just couldnt connect anymore :-)
maybe cause his ip is not dynamic wich eh figurred it was

btw: bout hunkalloc: id set half your ram to your hunkmegs, plays much better

(ve got 512 => set it to 256, plays good and i can do other stuff as well (mwell... it does do it a bit slower, but i dont mind))

Why do you use PB when you ban ppl for cheating where PB doesn´t detect a cheat!? (cuz there was no cheat :) )
