Need some help with ET Key!

Postby CheesieUnion » Sat Jul 11, 2009 11:48

I'm going to have a new computer, and I want to preserve my EXP. Do I Preserve it by copying my ET Key? And how should I do it if I can't do it that way?

Simply go to ET folder-> et main and save the et key on your external harddrive/cd/memory stick or what ever and then put it to the same place back in but on your new pc then of course. That's it.

If you save your ETkey from your old PC then yes. Otherwise they will be lost forever. Same with levels, but admins can give them back. Just do what sendo said and all will be OK.

FAQ wrote:Your ETKey is located in the "/etmain" folder; "etkey" The filesize is roughly between; 50 – 100 bytes and has not extension.

Copy the file – store it at a save location – place it back in the "etmain" directory (at another pc or a freshly installed ET.)

i dont get it. its written better in the faq, than in these posts here.
but oh well, at least u got it...
