if that wont do close et check agian that in your etmain folder isnt any etkey ( if there is remove it) open et and console and type /pb_cdkeyreg and wait about 1 min for response. that should give you etkey and working guid

thx for diamond
as i understood in server, you don't have a guid.
have you wrote in console: cl_punkbuster 1
then connect 88.198.62.41:27960
restart your computer.
join again.
if u get kicked by pb: Missing CD Key
then:

Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\etmain\diretory.
Find a file called etkey and delete it.
Then load up the game and pull down the console and type in the following
/pb_cdkeyreg
Give it about 10 to 30 seconds and you'll see a message saying successful.

None of the suggestions work for me.
Helper wrote:Try making the etkey file in Enemy Territory\etmain\ read only and see If it works tho at first u may need to manually obtain a cd key/guid from PB with the /pb_cdkey reg command once u have been kicked from a server.
Guy, who had a problem wrote:was glad i had written down /pb_cdkeyreg ,cause first server I entered after posted the above I got booted (go figure).
But a quick ~/pb_cdkeyreg and it was fixed.

Helper wrote:Also try this:
Disable and enable Punkbuster, either in the menu or take down the console and type: cl_punkbuster 0, restart ET, take down console again and type: cl_punkbuster 1. Punkbuster should have generated a new key for you now!

It seems Punkbuster (Evenbalance) is clowning around yet again..
I see a lot of these problems over the last week in the pb logs of PS2.
At this time I wouldn't start messing around with your etkey since you would lose your xp/levels at our servers by doing so.
This was my hunch as well (from: http://www.punksbusted.com/forums/index ... opic=61981);
Not a lot you can do other than wait. In the meantime it might be an idea to bombard them with trouble tickets; http://www.evenbalance.com/troubleticke ... hp?game=et
P.s. If you still have your etkey, do not delete it! If you've already thrown it away, check your recycle bin (or in the worst case, run a system recovery) in order to get it back.

looks like if you do a fresh install/reinstall ET, even with an up to date PB, PB will send a request to the master servers for a key, but the master servers don't return one.

and then they get message what they have to do.
No, not without PB.
But I don't think you really want to do this at the moment. It clearly looks like an error (master server down, or hacked etc.), affecting a lot of players. Keep an eye on the no-guiders but don't kick them out right away, otherwise you'll get a very quiet server I'm afraid
Edit:
According to Evenbalance
Please try again. The auth service was down and should be up and running again. We are sorry for any inconvenience.
