New one: You are in a race, and you overtake the person in second position. What is your position then?
I'd say youre first but that's most likely the wrong answer.

Phew, i've just returned after weeks of really hard studies, but now i'm back once more Difficult riddle from Timon Could it be that his own flat has two floors, and that the last remaining stairs was actually within is own apartement?
While other people try to figure it out, i've got one for Timon as well
Here it goes:
You are one day travelling through the woods, on your way back to the village from hunting deer. Unfortunately you haven't managed to get any deer yourself, just a few rabbits which you caught in some of your snare traps. The sky is darkening as the hour grows late, and you find yourself in a bit of a hurry to get back home before the path get's too hard to follow. Shortly after, you see a campfire, in the middle of a crossroad. There are two men standing next to the fire, both of them are dressed in the very same clothes, both are wearing robes and they are both armed with a hatchet. Further up the road devides into two seperate roads which lead in different directions. You have previously heard romours about these two travellers, it is said that one of them always tells the truth and that the other one always lies. As you approach them, you do not know which path to chose to get safely home, so you decide to ask them. Just when you are about to pose your question, one of the two menn hands you a note. The note says:
"You may only ask one question to one of us. If you pose more than one question, we will kill you."
Which one of the two men would you ask and what would you ask? If you chose the wrong path, this may result in getting eaten by wild beasts.

i would think that if you ask one guy "Which road would the other guy point me as the way to go home?", then you know what road you shouldn't pick.
Explanation:
wayA: good one
wayB: wrong one
situation a) You are talking to the guy who tells the truth, that means the other guy would lie and point out wayB. So the guy that tells the truth would say that the other guy would choose wayB.
situation b) You are talking with the guy that lies, that means the other guy tells the truth and would point you wayA, but since the guy you are talking to is lying he would tell you that the other guy would choose wayB.
Result: In both situations they will thel you the wrong way, so you know that you must pick the other one...
And the AIDS joke ain't funny at all friend...

Ok this is old one too :)
A farmer was taking his chicken, pet fox and bag of grain to the market, but to do so he had to cross a river with a small raft. The raft was so small that he could only take one of his carryings with him each time he crossed the river. How can he transport all of his stuff to the other side safe and sound? Chicken and fox cannot be on the same side without the farmer and bag of grain cannot be with chicken at the same time neither.

Take chicken, and put it on other side.
Go back, and take either one (grain or fox).
Take the chicken back with you, and trade it with the other one (fox or grain).
Then come back for the chicken, and put it on the other side.
Destroy the raft, so no one can put more grain, chicken and fox on market
