Ping problems

I sometimes have ping isues lately and i check my connection its all fine...
So how do i fix this problem (exept moving to europe)

ehm.. move to europe!

well you know ofc. the normal cmds to improve your connection:
/cl_maxpackets 100
/rate 25000/40000
/snaps 20

But yesterday, or the day before i was on a different computer wich worked so slow causing me to have almost 300 ping while my connection should have a stable 40 ping.
So it might also be your graphics card or your RAM.

Try to close every excessive programs also those who are only working in your START bar at bottom of your screen.

I have been whining at warren-the-ape for this for years , but do you have wireless or a cable?

may be overheating issues (if the ping stays high its probably this)

if your ping goes normal again then it might be a bad connection between servers connecting between you and the server

next time your ping goes high exit the game
go to start, click, then click on execute, type in cmd
then type in 'tracert 178.63.72.111' this will check your connection to the server
post the result here or pm it to me

@ fefe: your ping is fine until you establish a connection to europe, contact your isp and ask them why this happens, your only solution may be that you have to move to europe

@ goku: seriously, get cable by telenet, for some reason belgacom rerouts you via london while it should go straight to amsterdam, call them and complain (and convince your dad to change isp)

btw if you contact your isp, be sure to send the results of the tracert to them too, they'll be able to learn more from it
