Davies problems!!

Okay, I had this topic before but decided to change it.
Since I always have ET related problems I think a central topic with 'Davies problems' is the best way to avoid 'new-topic-spam'. If a problem is solved I will make the font smaller as done beneath.

me again

ok - i had a problem with my settings;
it started someting like 2 weeks ago (I dont know or I did any changes on ET, but I think I didn't)
I join a PS server and all settings are fine, but then, when a new map loads, the graphic quality sucks and those are not my settings, so i had to quite ET and restart for better graphics again.

I tried to find out what's the problem , and i thought there would be something wrong with my config, so i searched for all my configs (in my ''nq'', ''noquarter'' and ''etmain'' folder) and replaced ALL with the one i thought that was right. After that, I tried connecting to PS#1, came in server and saw I have 0 XP 0o ..

So,
1. How's my XP lost and how to get it back?

(cauze i think i lost my XP on #3 and #5 also now)
2. and what's with the old graphic problem..

Current problem:

I decided I want to play some more etpro, so I connect to an etpro server and everytime
I'm playing something like 20 seconds my 'color system' changes. My computer is driving Vista ( i know.. i know..). Vista theme is
Aero and the borders of windows are transparent. If I start to play Windows automaticly changes to 'normal' color system (so borders aren't transparant anymore and the window is put some milimeters down). My FPS
drops and it's just annoying. When I quit this ETPro it changes back directly. So what to do?

What's your r_mode in ET?
That's always the one annoying me ...

Did you try seta customwidth and seta customheight ?

about your first problem:

Maybe you accidentaly removed your ETkey when you was searching for your .cfg in your etmain file.
What to do now is:
1) get your ETkey back from a back-up if you had.
2) if you didn't make a back-up then you need to make a new one.

weight and height is allright, r_mode also

did that all long time ago

Euh, the one that is called ETkey in your ETmain folder but as you changed files. i thought you might be deleted it. If you have problems with your XP is must be something with you ETkey.

(so maybe just look around in some files, NQ, NoQuater, ETpro and look for ETkey)

When I play in an Etpro servers my Windows Areo theme changes into Basic - and I get an annoying FPS drop.. please help

Maybe buy better graphic card?Or maybe your problem isnt only at et?what's with another games like et?did you try?

It's only ET -> Etpro.

Other games & NQ work just fine

I found out I also have this problem on an .eG NQ server..
So not only on ETPro.

had some strange probs with fps drops in et- pro too

but my graphics turned green too

longer ago so cant remember exactly but mean it was sth related to
depthbits or lodbias
changed depth.. to 24 and lod to 0

im able to play etpro again
dunno if it helps its a try

edit: now mainly my provider drives me nuts ( cutting connection for few minutes 10 times a day , half speed then i pay for ):P

good try to check if its pc or cfg related .... load few other cfgs and see
