About 7 month developpment necrology_final version is here !

Hi all,

In the few months every players ask me when the new version from necrology comming and the day is today necrology_final is finished.

I have decided during the developpement to recreate totally the map, and look totally different from beta2.

The map is best playable in 10 vs 10 players.

Game : Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory

Title : necrology_final

Filename : necrology_final.pk3 and approx 16 Mb

Decription : - August 1945 -

End of second world war is near, but Axis and Allies need to fight for the last time.
This last combat is to hold dead teamate lost in combat and transport bones in sanctuary to resurect soul.



Axis and Allies need to secure bones in sanctuary, in total of 8. When time finished the team have secure more bones as the other team win.

Axis Objective : - Construct resurector (in axis spawn zone)
- Construct command post (in the abbey zone) for opening crypt door (in crypt zone)
- Take bones in crypt zone and secure in sanctuary zone


Allies objective : - Construct resurector (in allies spawn zone)
- Construct command post (in the abbey zone) for opening door (in crypt zone)
- Take bones in crypt zone ans secure in sanctuary zone

Special stuff : In the abbey zone you have for healing blood fountain and for ammo poison fountain.

Hi guys,

Thx for the compliment.

Nice Sebbel to add my map in rotation, i have passed directly from beta2 to final.

I have make big error in necrology first version map, the overway zone is too big, and i have decide to make different zones in final version for have the tiny lag as possible. And you can found 5 zones in final version. My big problem in making map is to reduce lag this is very hard.

I have tested this version on 3 machine types, netbook pc, mobile PC and normal pc (tower).

I result on netbook the game is slow due to performance machine atom etc..., on my mobile pc the game run fast core i3 processor and hd 5470 graphic card and on my tower pc core i5 and hd 5870 the game run fast.

I have more time yet to play more on ps servers. I see you all on differents ps servers and have fun.

Yeah, the map is running well on PS1 at the moment without bugs or lags. From what i see and hear; players pretty like the map and sames goes for me :wink: . You did a real good job and i m personaly proud to have a great "PS made" map on our rotation :).

Btw , did n t knew that you are also from Strasbourg as me :) .

i found out that i got textureprob since today.. could that have to do with this map?

Isn't that MLB Daybreak or Hotchkiss?? Or you mean that the new map makes textures wrong for rest campaign?

I see two prob in your screen seb, first texture from FG42 and the black sky.

I have played yesterday 2 time the complete canpaign from ps5 and can see no bug in canpaign or in game (include necrology_final).

I have tested few time to deconpiling the map MLB Daybreak and the deconpilling get error from map MLB Daybreak (possible as the map daybreak)

I will play on ps1 for show if this problem come.

the sky is not the prob... got no sky at all afaik..
but since yesterday i got the FG42 that orange.. and ONLY the FG ..
since yesterday i didnt change anything execpt adding 2 new maps: necrology final and UJE-VIP..

the FG42 is that bugged at ps1 AND ps5

from my experience i know that just a map in etmain folder can cause such problems.. in past map tobruk.pk3 ruined my complete consolebackground

THIS was causes by tobruk


edit:

ok.. its definitely your map..
removing necrology_final out of my etmain makes the FG42 normal
putting it back into etmain makes it that black-orange like in picture...

Ok seb i found the prob, in scripts folder found one file models.shader has a corrupted shader in him. I deleted this file from map and tested it on my mobile pc and my pc tower and the FG42 is yet clean with texture.
