.run :/

dont know if this is the right section, but here it is :oops:

the question is short and simple :)

i found a .run file for linux, but it doesnt open on itself, it says i have to choose a program, so how can i run a .run file on linux ?

searched on google already, nothing usefull :/ my last hope was you guys ;)

i tried that already, but it said it couldnt find the file, i saved it in my documents, where should i download it to best ?
to the download map itself ?

im talking about the ET client from the splashdamage site, since i fail in following the PS way of installing :oops:

to run a .run file on linux you need to be in the directory where the .run file is located, you do this with cd:


cd /your/path/to/the/run/file

after that you set the permission with chmod:


chmod 777 nameOFfile.run

and finally you execute the file with ./

./nameOFfile.run
