A Really Serious Problem.

Hey, I am XLimonX and ive been playin ET for a while now boout 4 years but i regularly stop and come back to play so i decided i wanted to come back and play Some ET!

so i downloaded the Et_wolf.exe and everything was going smooth installed the game no problem. after that Blahh everything started to go upside down anyway so when i entered the main servers and everything First
a)my Servers won't show up
b)When ever i enter the game my internet just offlines disconnects Its only when ever i enter the game
c)i got No clue, idea on how to fix.
d)i open Console and its says Request from the master.. hmm what the hell does that mean?

It'd be nice if anyone can really help me out ive been playin ET for a long time so if you guys got any solutions for me it would be Helpful
i tried everything i could Please!

hi limon,

a) It's probabily linked to b), if your connection goes down it's hard you will see any server on list.
b) It's more likely that it is your provider/your modem problem, I had a similar problem some time ago and it was related to a modem cooldown issue.
d) Do you "run ET as an administrator"?

By the way, make sure you installed the et patches 2.60 and 2.60b, and check our faq's for anything, that might be useful:

Looks like your Et can't connect to servers. I'd check my firewall first if I were you.

1. make sure you are online (establish connection with the internet)
2. connect to a PS server: for instance: open your console and and connect to PS1 via: /connect wotan.prime-squadron.com:27960

3a. you are still connected with the internet but you get an "awaiting connection 1, 2, 3, (...)" message: press ESC and choose MODS, there you can load different mods. choose any other mod then the current mod, e.g.: etpub. after that your ET will restart. then choose the noquarter mod and try to reconnect ( /connect wotan.prime-squadron.com:27960 )

3b. if your internet connection closed: maybe it is your router firewall / windows firewall ...

Hey Guys Thanks alot for Your support/Help

1.i tried checkin/uncheckin Wolf on Firewall in The Exceptions didnt help
2.Its when ever i open the game The internet just crashes.
3.i tried even ran as administrator didnt help as well.
4.even when i open console and type and Server IP it gives me awaitin connection 1..2...3..

I really Dont know What to do... My internet works fast and fine and when i exit the game the internet works fine again its just when i open up the game my internet just gets blocked....

Request to Master Server has to do with PunkBuster. If you're convinced that PunkBuster is the issue here, reinstall it by downloading pbsetup.exe and pbsvc.exe from EvenBalance.

What Operating System do you use?

diclonious suggested to download the pbweb.exe if you are sure, the problem is pb related.

btw, are you sure your connection is interrupted when you launch the game or is there just an "awaiting connection" screen?

Look bro when I open ET right away boom no Internet.... And if I open console trying to connect to a server it appears awaiting connection so it's both

Operating System = Windows XP, Vista, 7, Linux (which distribution), Mac. I am implying that there is a PB malfunctioning, be it by routerfirewall or PB itself, that disables your internet.

i installed the PB and added ET to the Path and everything now when i open ET its says:ET Has stopped Working....

Run it as admin - it's essential in Vista. And get PBSVC.exe, too, it configures your services.

i got On to the game and my internet crashes everytime i enter the game.... and when my internet crashes my dads lap and my bros lap crashes too....

Maybe your router can't handle the large amount of ping requests. Try running et.exe +connect 178.63.72.111:27960 and tell us what happens.

What kind of virus scanner you have? I have mcafee, and every time i get a new game or program that needs connection to the internet, it asks me if it can get connection.

Maybe you have to change this:

i dont understand not much about this things but sonds realy funny strange what probs you have.
i had already tried it to save my cfg and my etkey and maybe also all maps (etkey and cfg if you have realy important to save and maps when you have and you wont have to waste time on downloading the maps from server)). then delete ET complete.
then i would go to this link http://www.prime-squadron.com/modules.p ... oad_Center
download number 1 and install it, same with number 2, download number 3, open the rar folder, then replace the et.exe and the etded in your etfolder with the ones from the rar archive.
now try to connect to a server and when it works then put back your cfg, etkey and maps.

also make sure you run it as administrator and make sure your firewall or antvirus programm dont block et.

for explain ... if i good understod ..when u open ET ALL connection for internet crash ? or u can opened web-sites ? same time

When i open ET All my Internet Connection Crashes. not just my PC my dads PC and my bros lap and no i dont see a List of Servers it doesnt show me the list my internet just crashes.

Man i really dont know what to do..
