unable to dl mappacks on windows 7

cant download / play on windows 7? :s

i got a issue, my computer uses windows 7 and for some reason cant download mappacks, new sounds or anything through the server/game...

its a real shame becouse its been preventing me from playing for a LONG time now..

got any suggestions?

Try this if not setted:

Code: Select all: seta cl_allowDownload "1" seta cl_wwwDownload "1"

thanks rapidhail, it worked for about 2-3 files only though :s

when i got to downloading 110 factory_200 and UJE VIP_B3 it went nuts on me again and just froze up.

any other suggestions? or should I just reinstall?

EDIT: after multiple tries, it seems it cant download ET_mor_night either, will keep attempting...

EDIT II : now im getting this:

" game Code (ui_mp_x86.dll) failed pure server check. "

Check in console:
Start>Run>cmd.exe

Code: Select all: set http_proxy

It should say this environment variable isn't setted.

simply typing this in cmd.exe gets me the following:

environment variable http_proxy not defined.

in console typing: set http_proxy, i get the following:

set http_proxy
usage: set <variable> <value> [unsafe]

i think so, does that have any difference?

EDIT: tried running as administrator, i had to recreate my profile, but other then that theres no significant changes, im still bumping into the same problems.
