yeah, fefe, u stelin' games
When I was younger I also used to just download games from torrents or copy them from friends who downloaded them. But now I understand hard work that is needed to create such a game and when I want some game I buy it. Recently I bought Crysis2 and DeusEx3 and they are worth money spend on them. Actually I bought C2 just at the day of Polish premeiere and DE3 2 weeks after its premiere. But what is good you can wait some time if you aren't gung-ho about buying some game just when it's released. After few months games become cheaper or they have second edition (in different classics collections and so one). That way I bought Mass Effect & Mass Effect 2 for 5euro & 10euro respectively, what isn't too much for such great games.
If you feel it's a waste of money don't buy. And actually I think there are games which price is exaggerated, like StarCraft2 for around 50euro.
Of course it happened to me to download some games from torrents recently, but these were titles from 8-10+ years ago, impossible to purchase nowadays.

True. But in that case I'm a little bit backward (though I have steam) and downloading games for me = torrents.

Scary wrote:Kowi, I bet games in Poland are alot cheaper aswell.
In Estonia, new game costs around 60eur.
But we live so close to Russia, that many games have russian version available, they cost around 15-25 eur.
Yeah. In Poland new titles usually cost from 80-150zł (it's approximately 20-40eur). Plus, they're lot cheaper than 10-15 years ago (despite the fact, that any other goods, from bread to clothes, got more expensive). However there are good and bad exceptions like SC2 for equivalence of ~50eur (bad) and titles like Painkiller (polish old-school shooter with awesome graph and gamaplay from 7-8yrs ago) for 20zł (~5eur).
Ofc, there are games that cost 50-60eur... but these are PS3 and X360 games, generally console games are pretty expensive. That's may be because consoles aren't that popular in PL.
Ofc prices depend on where you buy it. Empik - the biggest multimedia&culture (books, music, games, etc.) shop chain in Poland has almost the highest prices and to be honest I always discourage people from buying there Therefore I prefer Media Markt for example, where games are 20zł (~5eur) cheaper on average.
Not to mention internat shopping.
Plus, what I mentioned earlier, you don't have to buy a game when it's released. You can wait for re-edition or just until it gets cheaper!
OMG kowi... no advertising! haha
