Caen 2 spawn points....

Postby Insight_ » Fri Sep 23, 2011 23:22

Where do defending team spawn? Axis i think it is, when ive been axis a spawn i the room nearest the up left coner on the map.
PS S!ms# says they spawn in the forward room, i was mortar that room, and i know im not the only one doing that, both adming and other players are doing that.
New rules again???

I have our conversation saved if you want it.
He says he spawned in that room, that have i never done....

Just tell me the rules soo will i shut up.

I'm not sure if I get your point. I'm not sure about which spawn we're talking. If you mean the last allies spawn - in the building. Mortaring inside the building is disallowed, cause allies are spawning there.

Else post a picture of the door you mean. The second allied spawn is hard to reach by mortar. If you mean that door on the balcony near the stairs. It is allowed for as far I know. Mortaring there doesn't affect the allies' spawn or block all the ways they got. But again, plz post a picture so we can see exactly what you mean. :)

From what i know , you can't spawn on the second room , at least i ve never seen somebody spawning there. Mortaring their door was always allowed and i see no point to change something about it since they can easily get out from their spawn and in safe way from the second exit. They have 2 exits as in many other maps (oasis etc ...) and it's totaly impossible to hit somebody on the spawn.

bowy is right, you mean the side door of that spawn. You may mortar that place, but you must watch out that you dont have splash damage in the spawn. This sometimes occurs but for the rest they spawn in the central area near the healt and ammo cabinete so no problem for me. But i understand also the admins sometimes there are people at the server that don't listen for a bit and after like 6 of those people they get sometimes irritated so it is better that you say oke and make this forum and talk about it here. So everything is clear for both sides of the storie. ;)

Hi again.

I did mean the door on the balcony near the stairs.
I have never spawned in that room and ive seen alot of other ppl put mortar there.

But when a admin says he spawns ther soo... What should i think?

And it wasnt any splash damage, i was mortaring the exit/balcony.

But now do i know i can keep mortaring that spoot then :)

Thx

they spawn all the way in the back and have 2 exits
if you shoot from your location inside the building you dont block or hit spawn area.

so its save to shoot there.
iam a mortar guy myself time 2 time and i always shoot arround that area ;)

[left]It was a full server Bow and I did spawn near the entrence in question. And when I got killed (By the mortar) before even moving from the spot.
I assumed it was spawnkill with good reason I thought so.

But if u say differently Bow, i respect ur judgement call. Rules
(written & unwritten) did change back and forth from time to time.
So if i was wrong, i do accept a rectification and
I'm sorry for the misjudgement.

Hope this clarifies the matter, and sorry for the possible inconvenience.

@Simson : i just said that i never seen a player respawn near the door or the area which can be directly hit by the mortar. If it's indeed possible to respawn there and you are killed by mortar or any other weapon it s for sure a spawn kill and there is no need to discuss about. If not, you can't concider moratr shots allies exits as an act of spawn kill.
I ve speced few times allies spawn in caen and still didn't caught anyone respawn there , maybe i m not lucky or the server realy need to be fully crowded, to be continued ...
