I thought about putting this up for discussion

I am Mymmeli, and many of you have been frustrated by my acts of superiority and other antics. For the most part I don't blame you for it, I provoke such reactions intentionally.

The most recent event was a bit too much for me to remain silent, though.

We were playing - I don't remember the map's name, but the americans escort the tank to the city gate, blow the gates, and proceed to steal he documents from behind the laboratory door. I decided to mention the posters that exist in that map. Those nazi posters, particularly the one with Adolf's face on it and the words "Dem Fuhrer, die Treue". I asked what that means. (And before the most easily irritated ones jump the gun here, no, I do not know german well enough to tell. I have memorized certain phrases for shock value, but otherwise I don't speak much german.) I was basically told to shut up, and as I didn't, promptly got kicked.

Hypocrisy is the human quality that disgusts me most, and I would not like to think that there are people who so obviously fall into the bottom caste of hypocrites. But reality seems to be just that. People play on a server where a map has pictures of nazi posters, and I get shunned and kicked when I mention those posters and voice my detest of the reaction it brought.

Keep or remove the posters, either way is fine. But punishing a person for bringing them up when they *are right there* is just disgusting. Nazis are a taboo, I understand that quite well, but this kind of inconsistency should not exist.

note: plural form of 'person' is 'people', not 'persons'

Never seen them signs on Marrackech. And I've played the map at least one thousand times.

Been there, seen those.

But anyway, PS1 admins are just...lets say, akward.
This is your topic but maybe I should share my story aswell.

Was playing Minas. I was talking my usualy trash, this time i was saying how minas should be added to ECs mappool (moronic, i know

). Then some finnish guy said sth like: wtf is EC, n00b?. I tried to explain it to him several time, in a polite way, to which he responded by saying things such as "shut the *beep* up", "wtf are you talking about" etc. Finally I just told him : "Nvm, your too stupid to understand anyway". And that resulted with me getting muted for...lets say, very long time ( lots and lots of seconds).

Gladly, I asked Oxys help and thx to him I got unmuted pretty soon.
But that destroyed my last respect for PS1 admins & regulars.

Im not whining, not even *beep*. I didnt create admin abuse topic, i dont have proofs etc ( i dont even know who muted me, he was using fake nick, though Oxy knows prolly). I just wanted to share this chapter of book called PS1.

The fact is that you're provoking everytime you're on server and admins are having a lack of patience with you.
In this case I wasn't on server, who did it have his own reasons, but let me say that is mainly caused by your silly attitude.
If you're so smart (like you think you are) just change your way of acting on server, it isn't that hard, and you won't experienced any more troubles

The answer is already given by your own. You like provocations and with time and frequency we get less tolerant with usual "wise asses", so don't be surprised to have other mutes/kicks or even more in future. Anyway , it's not first time i see you throwing out some nazi or ambiguous BS for their "shock value" on server, so indeed it would be a wise idea to zip it a bit or join another server with "funny" people sharing same nasty sense of humour than you. Persoanly (as our players), i have no obligation to abide your daily craps in my server.

Mymmeli the fact is that what bowy said is correct sometimes you just do like you are the boss. That is something that most people hate on NQ they want to play the game on there way and then you start like Protect the objective for ... mymmeli and.... and... . So most people getting annoyed by it, just do like me and be a bit more fun talk against those people you know that laugh with those things but dont do it to others that can't stand it. For rest you are a good player sometimes you break a rule oke that happens even admins sometimes do that

. PS1 is playing for fun not playing to be bossy. Just make some jokes laugh with what people say and have lots and lots of fun.

Many of you just stick to pointing out the folly of my behaviour, while completely ignoring the actual issue I brought up. Disappointing, but not entirely unexpected. Mymmeli is the rotten egg, so there can't possibly be anything wrong with anything relating to the server or its staff.

I guess I have to settle for double standards and hypocrisy being a solid part of some PS members, like the one kicking me for the aforementioned reason. Well, can't say I expected much more than that. See y'all on the server! (At least until someone eventually bans me for good.

)

You don't understand one thing. It may be that what you did was serious, not just another joke/provocation. But having past expirience with you and your behaviour and attitude it was just natural to treat this act that way.

Some of the admins are a bit too subjective... It's just something you have to get used to. I still get pissed off at this sometimes but I just learned to shut up (that's the only advice I can give you here Mymmeli).

Not all the admins are like this, there are a few good ones (they know who they are). It's just hard to judge how good an admin really is (maybe I'm being too subjective here).

So try to imagine ur an admin in PS1, u try to play and you see such a 'discusion'.
Sometimes its very hard to get point of whole of them. When you say someone is too stupid to understand sth, u also show how u understand our rules. For me main rule is Respect others, after u can expect the same.

About your behave Mymmeli, ur a provocator, thats all

So try to imagine ur an admin in PS1, u try to play and you see such a 'discusion'.

So try to imagine how the world would looks like when a judge would judge people without reading the files and became familiar with the litigation. The main rule is to be fair for those who are we for.

Yes but he called me stupid, n00b etc before. And I didnt even insult, lie. He indeed was too stupid to understand after 5min of explaining.

After unmute I simply asked to talk to the muter but he didnt respond. I wasnt provoking, nothing, he just didnt answer because he knew he messed up. Not me.

Hey Mymelli,

What I can see in your explanation is that you should not have been punished for being kicked in this case. It can happen that you truly didn't know the meaning of what you was saying, and saying such a phrase than for once can happen. No problem, but try to avoid it next time.

Anyhow concerning your past behaviour(and like you said; you provoke intentionally) an admin could see this as an intentional way to disturb players on the server, following this interpretation a kick was truly deserved.

Anyhow, I am sorry that you feel like treated unfair, though to avoid further cases like this, try to be more careful.

Hard to compare game with real live. But even if i would do it i would never call me
judge. I just try to notice when boarder is passed, sometimes it is not so easy. In that one situation both sides should be calmed down thats my opinion. I would add for your rule just 1 sentence, never forget ur still a player.

I know he passed the boarder but next time just try to pm some admin. I bet that the one who muted you just didnt see begin of those talks. Other way is just ignoring such a provocations
