ETkey

Oke uhmm... My Graphic card is screwed and it's probably all my fault. :oops:

So i need help to:

1st: Find my ETkey :roll:

2nd: Install ET on another computer (Laptop). (I'm pretty sure i can do that myself but don't know how to.. you know... install it with all my levels, xp and stuff... Saying i still do have xp ofc.

Anyone who might can help me with that?
Oh and btw, i'm not so big a genious with computers so you might wanna explain it in uhm... Pieces. :roll:

1. etkey should be in your etmain folder (win7 -> C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\PunkBuster\ET\etmain).

2. XP and lvls are saved in the etkey.

But.. How do i install it then?
I just google it and install ET, or do i do something else with the etkey like uhm.. idk install the etkey perhaps? :oops:

EDIT: Uhm... i copied: win7 -> C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\PunkBuster\ET\etmain

And searched it but ehm... It didn't fidn anything

Is this bad?

You will find your etkey file in your etmain folder. (example c:/program files/Wolfenstain:ET/etmain) save it anywhere (mail, cd, pen drive etc)
It contains your unique identification code for ET, it means that saving this will also save your xp and levels.
If you don't want to download again all the maps and pk3 files i suggest you to save also your etmain folder, wich you will replace once you will install et in your new pc.
But i think a little "cleanup" is good from time to time so I personally wouldn't save it.

EDIT: to install it just place it in your new etmain folder

Well, if you want to download ET and install it, you can click on the 'Downloads' button in the 'Site Navigation'. It's in the left upper corner of this site.

About ETKey I think you can also find it here:

Your station (C: or D: Etc. etc.) -> Program Files -> Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory -> Etmain.

In the etmain map should be a file called 'etkey'. It's only 1kb or something and you can't open it.

If you have your ETkey you can put it back in the etmain folder on your other computer and you'll have your xp/levels etc. etc. back.

EDIT: everything i wrote above is crap... well not the first sentence xD
Uhm... Lazy helped me from xfire so i found my etkey now

And from your guys help i think i can figure out how to do it now :wink:
