Can not connect to the server

Hey folks.

I played yesterday and everything was fine. but today i just cant connect. I checked the serverlist and the servers wont show up aswell... Any tips or ideas?

Oh! A little add, it only loads. 1..2...3...4 etc.

The fact that you can't see the server list is normal, since no one can see it because it has been shut down/experiencing problems dunno for sure.

Have you tried typing in console /pb_cl_enable ?
And do you have a valid ETkey? If not create one here: http://etkey.org

Well like i said. i played yesterday and everything was fine. I have my own etkey(my own xp save and all other info).

No i havent tried pb.

EDIT!

Game works again and works fine... dont know what was going on earlier...

that problem seems to come and go as it pleases.

Again i cant connect to any server.

+ quick connector wont help me. Problem is that it wont connect. loads and loads.

u might have some spyware, virus, bad connection or whatever?? what OS u running?? this happening randomly sound pretty much like malware on ur comp or bad i net connection

the quick connectro just helps in case u dont find the server since master server is off and serverlist is not available anymore ^^

hmmmm .... I have a problem connecting to the server. And it's not about the call on PS1 but in general. When I click play online, it automatically pops up a window where maps are downloading with the message "Do you want to redirect to: 95.211.156.14" - do not know where this comes from an IP address, and why it happens. I played for 3 hours earlier on PS1 and there was no problem. And now for something like this. Does anyone have any idea, except reinstall ET? PLEASE HELP

I should add that I only play on the PS1 and Trick Jump server, so I could hardly catch a virus on another server. I dont think there are a virus for ET ... I've never heard of a virus on et... But maybe some exist

You should check your /etmain folder (and other mod folders) for vague .pk3's. They're often prefixed with z_ or x_ and kinda small in size.

Communities and clans often include these files, but some can be very nasty.

It's generally good practice to clean out your /etmain and other mod folders once in a while

I tried to do as you said. I deleted my small files from etmain, etjump, nq, etpro, jaymod (what the f is jaymod) and i try to connect. When I opened the shortcut ET, did not come to the game just opened Et console. Files deleted in this etmain for example cgame_mp_x86.dll or, qagame_mp_x86.dll. BUT! When I saw that the removal resulted in lack of input into the game, i restore the files back to folders. The strange thing is that after this treatment no longer be a problem with the automatic redirection. So generally did not do anything and it works. It still do not know which files caused the problem, what happened that again works, and most importantly, if the issue is permanently solved ... :crazy:

Mysterious are the ETs paths. =P

Because this topic was about connecting the server the following might be offtopic but
still important: ETmain folder. Delete all maps from time to time every 2-6 months. Also every file including some clan names.
It speed up ET and may solve some problems. Downloading them again is a small price. ^^

Etmain refresh folder is an interesting option if it can help in a more appropriate functioning of the game. The problem is that I do not want something to bungle. I do not know which file is important and which is not.

Sure but pak0, pak1, pak2 are also .pk3 so don't make a mistake deleting them.
