The G5 is very similar to the MX518 but its with Laser and other colors.
MX518:
up to 1600 dpi
G5:
up to 2000 dpi
replaceable weights
Difference between prices ~15 - 20 EUR
I would buy the MX518, i use it too and i am more then happy with it
