Unable to enter map - Fuel dump

Hello admins,

Fuel dump is one of the new maps added into the pool, but when i try to play on PS1 when the map is present, i always get kicked off the server.
Reason:
hunk_allocatetempmemory failed
I tried changing com_hunkmegs a few times, nothing worked.

Any help please?

amo go to your W-ET folder search for ETmain folder find file fueldump.pk3 and delete it. than try to connect map will be downloaded again if still wont work try to download map manualy from other site like http://wolffiles.de/

It is a little odd that it happens but I will try to help you.

First, what sidor proposes DOESN'T WORK so don't try it. Fuel Dump is a native map so it is included in either pak0|1|2.pk3, deleting that will corrupt you et installation.

it is probably about you /com_hunkmegs setting. What is your current value? Changing it will happen when you restart you ET, you can't change it when it is already loaded. You can force it by executing et.exe with the setting +set com_hunkmegs <number>. 256 or 512 are decent values.

What operating system do you use?

My setting was: com_hunkmegs 128.
I tried 256 and 512 and it still doesn't work.

Using windows 7 Home premium.

I am not sure, since I don't use windows anymore, but I though that you could add the parameters somewhere in the properties view. (Right click -> properties).

u have to set:

com_hunkmegs 128
com_soundmegs 128
com_zonemegs 128

then /vid_restart

If still dont work then say us how many RAM's do u have, and i will try to compose best settings.

Done that, it doesn't work. NOTHING WORKS ...pfff

Also, i completely reinstalled et and everything (from 2 different downloads), but the problem remains. I can't change my hunkmegs setting, it simply doesn't want to. it keeps saying "latched: 512" when typing /com_hunkmegs in the console.

Fixed it by changing the default setting manually in my etconfig.cfg in the profile folder.

if you use seta instead of set this will write it to your default config and ET will then load with the setting

I had to change the hunkmegs in the main etfolder (standard vanilla, no mods). It worked.
