Egypt, Helmsdeep, Golden Dunk out pls ty

Would be nice to have different rotations depending on player amount though, if that's even possible. I mean, Special Delivery is a good map 6v6 up to 8v8 even, but 20v20 and it's impossible for allies to win, same with other maps, defence becomes way too easy. And at the same time, Seawall Battery and Saberpeak, good maps, but it's too easy to win for attacking teams if it's 5v5.



In: Rail Gun, Desert Temple, Password, Karsiah, Secret Weapon, Transmitter and I'm about to get a lot of hate over it, but it's one of my favorite maps - Beach Invasion. That's my vote anyway, all of these maps got frequently voted on PS5, so I know it's not just me!

Password is good fun though, some camping spots for axis before the password is stolen, but afterwards it's easy run for allies, anyway, the maps I listed are good options when the server is around 8v8, which it is the most often anyway

Nah, i choosed maps with nice objective, and in past they was always most playable maps (marked as green - mostly), should be nice just to add one or two of them (e.g. darji, school) and check if they are votable. We just have fresh rotation on server, and that maps are just proposition for future rotation. ofc its your decision and i dont want to force u, but playing always the same map everyday is boring :P

not true. School, Password and uje 00 are always appreciated.
Btw the worst scenario that can happen is the "less appreciated" maps won't be voted. So imho we could give a try with some of them.

Maps to be removed form actual rotation are:
- frost competition
- helms deep
- flughafen
- Pirates
- snatch
- warbell

I like Darji 2 and X-posed from Kuna's pool, but im afraid i have to agree with Bear.

But in seccond hand, there will never be perfect rotation which satisfied every1 same way.
And we got vote system as Flower said so, when players dont want to play some map, they dont vote it.

Chateau_Final ..... Cant imagin more sux map :mrgreen:

P.s. Didnt you notice smth ? Look, we all agree that Egypt and Helms deep must be out. But thouse maps are so often picking by players since appears...
Maybe our point of view to pick nice map is totaly diferent.
Similarity in case Egypt and Helms deep : Very large maps with much much open space... Maybe for some less skiled players is way better to shoot from distance or to hide somewhere, than meet someone like Yoschi in some tight and dark corner 8)
Dunno what is all about in this maps, but always got many votes, and often got them most...

Yup, seems so.

That's true. If those maps are so horrible as some drew, why they are so popular? I see Helms Deep really often when i check server monitor. Pity i don't have that much time to play it. ;x Serverkillers for me are maps like: Password, Darji, Fatamorgana (practicaly disabled field ops and snipers, no job for engies as well, bardzo boring - dont know what ppl see in it... :roll: )

Anyway map rotation is still new.

The problem is that there's going to be 4 people who vote for the server killer maps, and 8 people who can't decide if they want Goldrush, Venice, Italy or Baserace, and in the end, 8 people moan and 4 people silently watch the server die.


Snatch has a problem that it's hard to defend with very few people and a headache with too many people (riflenades+grenades)..

Agree with Fata Morgana out though

Like daghel said it is just new map rotation.

Imho I think we need some more 'big maps', because of last time we got much players on server.

So when new maps will come in for me it's Minas and breakout.

Teamwork :) Thouse 2 maps are perfect example for it. No need classes for it. Its all about tactics and teamwork to win map. Combination in attack and defence for both team in same time bla bla bla.... :)

every map needs teamwork hehe

i agree on those big maps in evening it really sucks when it gets voted by a few and then alot players disconnect.

isnt it possible to make same as before a big mappool and a small one?
like the rotation was only with voting system still in?

i really hope to see ctf_maat back i loved that map
well i love every map where both teams must attack:>

also the map where both teams must go to a high place get a flagpoint and keep it for like 5 min
mostly noone wins but its always alot of fun:D

About teamwork, yes et is that kind of game where teamwork is base.
But i said that thouse 2 maps are perfect example, not that thouse are only one. Here you have to balance attack to defence. For me thats not like every map in et :wink:
baserace is like thouse maps, but cant compere to... goldrush :D

So a rotation with big maps would appear when a big crowd is playing and opposite?

Also, we need more small maps! :D

But you'd have to disable bots on that, cos 5 bots vs 5 bots would be too much for the map to handle, 1v1 maybe

Why not some smaller maps though? If people used common sense not to vote them when it's 20vs20, they're good for the usual 6v6s

We had this big/small rotation some time ago, but imo it was bad move. Small, usually overplayed maps were all the time, and bigger ones - almost never. Some people were leaving, others dc for 10 sec after map end to make small rotation loaded and trick the system.
And personally i have absolutelly no fun with 20vs20 on goldrush when i can't even leave the spawn coz of massive artys, nades and granades.

So make it against the rules to cheat the system like that :p People don't generally like big maps anyway, though I agree on the Goldrush, takes a miracle if the other team is stacked

Running route is going bored. That´s for sure.

For new rota:

Secret Bay (Final) - very good little map.

Monte Cassino (Final 2)

Raiders (Final)

The Holy Grail (Final)

Airfield Assault (FPT)

V2-Base TE (Final)

V1 Rocket (Beta 2)

All these are good and long played maps.

Any feedback is welcome...
