Server settings for PS#1

Postby egglaf » Wed May 21, 2014 1:22

Hello chaps,

We have discussed a certain server configuration for PS#1, and decided to test it and to see how it works out.

From now on:
- Covert Ops will inherit opponent's facial features (head) when stealing a uniform
- Items in front of movable objects (tanks etc.) will be removed instead of being pushed forward
- Players riding movable objects (tanks etc.) will rotate along with the movement of the object, preventing spontaneous gibs

I am curious to your experiences with this new settings, please respond here about what you think of it :).

So if I'm in front of the tank, and he is moving forward, I'm not moving, he'll crush me?
I'm always outnumbered, but never outmanned!

I don't know, but I don't think so. Visit PS#1 and test it out I would say ;).

I'm curious about it! Especially the removal of gib whilst standing in the truck could be a real relief.

Is it also a consideration to remove the music in the last 30 seconds of the map?
Annoying because it freezes objective sound commands and loops them in the end.
Also for those listening music during gaming it sucks.

I thought there is a way to block the sounds but the techsquad has to back me up on this one.

/s_stop does the trick

I am very disappointed with that attitude.
I can assure you it is much, much more important than that."

I don't know if it's due to the new server settings but when playing the panzermap all classes are available again and the panzer gets out of stock. ;)

Cmd /s_stop only stops the song which is already playing, not all of them. So you cant get rid of psnews ever ^^

About the new settings, sound nice, not tested'em yet.
Cheers
