Another day, another problem
Aaaaaaand here I am again....
Last time I started ET and when it was getting started there was a pop-up screen from windows defender: 'Allow acces for this program?'. Normally I disable windows defender so I don't get this pop-up screen. Normally it always allow acces for ET.
Anyway that isn't the problem: The problem is after that ALL my configurations/settings were gone?! Tried to re-open ET, restart PC and computer recovery (reset PC to another date) but that changed anything?!
Don't feel like setting everything again like before because that's never gonna be same as before....
Any other solutions?
And yeayeah I'm not a tech guy

If you open you config file, does it still have your settings? Also, is your settings in the etmain or nq folder, or both?
Maybe modify your autoexec aswell if you want to force your config on.

Really everything has changed. So not only controls but also configs like /cl_maxpackets bloodsplash, lagometer etc.. *beep* up...

Re: Another day, another problem
In etmain folder, look for autoexec.cfg I think. Open it with notepad++ or such.
Also this might be a far shot, but check if your config files are NOT read-only. If they are read-only, you might not be able to modify them.

Re: Another day, another problem
If you had set all by hand in game your settings are most likely gone. Of course you could check etmain and every mod folder if there is something left:
The autoexec.cfg probably doesn't exist unless you have made it yourself. It might be in etmain or in some mod folder like nq. And because of this kind of random bugs you probably should make one as the game shouldn't overwrite any configs other than etconfig.cfg.
- Code: Select all
...\wolfenstein - enemy territory\etmain\etconfig.cfg
...\wolfenstein - enemy territory\*insert mod here*\profiles\*insert your profile here*\etconfig.cfg

This site might be helpful. Just this time write them down and save as .cfg so they should be safe.
